Four days… he had four days left. Vox let out a frustrated grunt before sipping The coffee he'd just made. It was morning and He'd wasted two days already with his ridiculous Breakdowns, making absolutely no progress. Valentino and Velvette were being extra cautious with him and he hated it. Hated how they would rather walk away than continue an argument. How they danced around topics exchanging knowing glances, Glances that he was no longer included in. What was he even doing here anymore?

“Here” Velvette's Voice interrupted. Vox looked up from the breakfast bar to see a laptop had been placed in front of him.

“and you want me to…” Vox tilted his head slightly. Why was she giving him a laptop? It's not like he could do anything right now. He was useless to them.

“Look Vee for as long as I've known you you've always had a goal, a plan, a drive, I don't care What that Radio prick has done or told you but I can't stand watching you wollow. I don't know how to deal with this…” Velvette hands Gestures to Vox's body. “But I do know me and Val probably haven't… reacted like you need us to. I've been too soft and Valentino has been… well Valentino. So take this Laptop do some more simple work shit to get you back into the run of things”

“Like what?” Vox Scoffed what could be possibly do that they haven't been Fine doing without him… This was pitty work.

“I don't know, write a script, plan a new product, use the Internet to catch up on everything just… Just don't overdo it ok, start small we have time ” Velvette smiled. Vox just frowned… he didn't want pity work…but Perhaps he could use it to find out how everything's been really going…

“Thanks” Vox reluctantly grumbled opening up the laptop and watching it boot up.

“I'm off darling Valentino should get his ass out of bed soon see ya” Velvette blew a kiss before heading out the Apartment.

Not sure where to start Vox thought he'd check what people were saying online about him. It turned out Velvette had done a good job at blocking his return to the tower. No videos, just a few people claiming they saw him, that he was back but no ones seen him since. There were a few articles about his lack of appearance on TV, some people glad he was gone and others disappointed. There was a lot of speculation on where Vox has Been this whole time, some claiming he'd been killed and the other Vee's were coving It up, others joking He'd was copying Alastor's seven year sabbatical, the one that pissed off the most however were the ones claiming he was a washup with no new ideas left and it wouldn't be long till Valentino and Velvette replaced him.

Vox was about to close the laptop before an article caught his eye. It was from months ago.

Voxtech saved By anonymous investor

Great monetary losses for the Voxtech company after the mysterious Disappearance Of Voxtechs CEO. The company Has been saved by a sizable donation from an unknown investor. Falling Behind their usual product release times the company took a huge financial loss until this mystery demon stepped in. Mr Valentino Is still unavailable for comments spending an unusual amount of time out of the public eye. Miss Velvette responded with the following “Voxtech Is as strong as ever this extra funding is just to allow us to release our latest product early on behalf of Vox who is simply taking some time to work on more new exciting things”

Slamming the laptop shut Vox frowned. Why Hadn't they told him about this anonymous investor? What did the Guy get from helping them? Was this why they were being so secretive?  A hint of  a memory flashed in Vox's mind. This product launch must have been the one he read in Alastor's newspaper the first time he got Access to the kitchen. The sound of heels clicking against the floor pulled Vox from his thoughts.
