Tonight was unforgettable. Sage, Jimin, and I had let loose in the club, dancing and laughing together like we'd known each other for years. Jimin's infectious energy had us all grinning like fools, and even my initial hesitation had melted away under his charming onslaught. It was too good to have him tonight - his presence had a way of making everything feel more alive, more vibrant. I felt this happy after so long. But now, as I watched Jimin effortlessly lift Sage onto the bed, her limp body bouncing slightly as she landed on the mattress, I felt a pang of concern. She was never a big drinker, and tonight she'd clearly overdone it."Thanks, Jimin," I said, smiling at him. "I owe you one. You're a lifesaver...or at least a Sage-saver."
He chuckled, "Anytime, my lady. But next time, maybe keep an eye on your friend's drink count...or just let her party, because honestly, Sage in a club is a sight to behold."I playfully rolled my eyes, laughing. "Yeah, yeah. I'll try."
As Jimin turned to leave, I suddenly felt a surge of determination. "Wait," I said, stepping in front of him. My heart raced with anticipation, and my palms grew sweaty. "Do you by any change know anything about....ahm, me?" His smirk faltered for a moment before he regained his composure. "What do you mean?"
I took a deep breath, my voice barely above a whisper. "Did your friend...you know, the one who's like a tinman...did he mention anything about me?"
His smiled wider this time. "Oh, I might know a thing or two" He winked at me, and I felt my face heat up with frustration., "Hey,..stop teasing me!" I said, trying to sound stern but failing miserably.
He chuckled and turned to leave, calling out over his shoulder, "Maybe I'll spill the tea another time, Amara."
I clenched my fists at my sides, my heart racing with anticipation. If that monster is really back, I am ready for him. Bring it on. I'll kick him damn hard in the balls, that they will turn purple. How dare- HOWWWWW DAREEEE, he humiliate me like that. This is so embarassing.
I stood outside Mr. Steels room, my heart racing as Jimin's words echoed in my mind - "he's coming tonight". Taking a deep breath, I reached out to grasp the doorknob, but my courage faltered. I'd never entered his room before, and the thought of facing him again made my stomach twist into knots.
