AFTER THE CONTRACTS had been signed, Amelia asked to step outside. She needed to process whatever just happened. What she agreed to. Why exactly did she agree to this? She was having second thoughts. What if she couldn't make this believable? She would ruin this whole thing, not just for her, but also for McLaren, and Lando. She hated letting people down. She was fine with disappointing herself. She would get over it, eventually. But other people? It's like the end of the world for her.

Amelia was pacing around in front of Zak's office, trying to calm herself down. She needed to get back inside to discuss this whole thing further. She would've preferred to meet the guy she was going to be dating, properly. Maybe she should invite him to a café, just to get to know each other.

Is that being desperate?

She stopped pacing when she heard the door open, revealing Lando. She looked up, her own brown eyes, meeting his blue eyes. He closed the door, and approached her slowly, keeping his gaze on the ground. "Thought you might've run off. Scare you away." he chuckled. He looked up and saw an anxious Amelia playing with the rings on her fingers. "You alright?"

Amelia looked up at the question. She nodded slightly while sighing. "Yeah, fine. Just nervous, I guess."
"Nervous about what?" Lando approached her. Amelia eyed him with a confused look. Why was he nearing her? "It's nothing, we should head back in." Amelia walked to the door but Lando stopped her, when he gently grabbed her arm. She turned to him, and was about to speak before he beat her to it. "You don't need to be nervous about anything. We can do this thing together." he smiled.

"Why are you being so nice to me? Are you trying to get in my pants?"

"Is it working?"

Amelia groaned, and muttered an 'asshole' under her breath. Of course, that's what he wants. That's why she's here in the first place. She had the impression, that that's what everyone wants nowadays. Everyone but her.

Amelia wanted the sappy love. The kind of love, where just a single look can give her the familiar, sick-like feeling in her stomach. Not the 'love' where you give your body to a person, just to feel cold and exposed. All of that, for nothing.

"Why do you do this?" she asked, genuine curiosity in her voice. "Why do you just jump and go?" Lando furrowed his brows.
"Why do you care? That's none of your concern."
"Because if we're gonna be in this relationship, we need to be honest with each other, work on problems together. Regardless of this whole thing being fake." she explained.
"The more we know about each other, the more believable this will become for the media. To be honest, I don't even know your name to begin with." Amelia chuckled.

Lando searched her face for any sign of sarcasm. He has never had anyone tell him straight to his face, that they want to get to know him. And he didn't know how to feel about it. Everything about him was basically on the internet already. With only the search of his name, you could find everything about him.

"I'm Lando." he let go of her arm. Amelia gave him a small smile, and held her hand out for him to shake. "I'm Amelia. It's great to meet you. Properly." Lando shook her outstretched hand as they both chuckled slightly. Amelia looked into his eyes. With the sunlight shining onto Lando's face, his previously blue eyes, changed a sage green color. She liked looking at his eyes. They were gorgeous.
