ON SUNDAY, LANDO GLADLY LINED up at P2 for the main race. The day prior he had qualified in P4 for the sprint, and crossed the finish line, maintaining the same position he started in. A solid race, earning a pretty good haul of points from himself and his teammate.

The car had been performing better the past few races, which relieved the whole team. So both of the cars starting in the top 10 again, was like a breath of fresh air. The atmosphere in the garage had evidently changed, everyone was more motivated and anticipated the 5 lights turning off.

And that is where they all found themselves doing. Including Amelia. Everyone was getting the things they needed at the track. It was very hectic, so Amelia decided to hide in Lando's room. It was empty. No sign of Lando of Jon, who were preparing for the race ahead. She was glad it was that way though.

She just needed to be somewhere else for a bit. Somewhere quiet. But not completely. So, she pulled out her earphones and phone, connecting them and hitting shuffle on a random playlist. Amelia laid on the massage table and turned the song up. Nonsense by Sabrina Carpenter filling her ears, making her feel at peace.

This is what she loved doing. Just being able to lay down, listening to music, and forgetting about reality. She closed her eyes, blocking everything but her music out.

While she was doing so, she hadn't noticed the door open by none other than Lando. He jumped up slightly, being caught off guard by the sight of her on the table. He could hear the music blasting in her ears, but he couldn't make out what was playing. He closed the door, and pulled out his phone to snap a picture.

Lando approached the girl quietly, not wanting to wake her up. She looked peaceful laid like that. He knew how stressed and anxious she was. This was all so new to her and she didn't have any time to mentally prepare herself for it. She didn't have to say it, but he knew how she felt. He had noticed it by her body language.

She seemed a bit nervous every time he saw her. But this time around, he could see that she was always quite tense and playing with her hands. He just knew it, and he wanted to provide her with as much comfort and warmth as possible.

He sat on the massage table and pulled out an earphone from Amelia's ear. Thus startling her, she let out a gasp, and opened her eyes. She looked for the source of disturbance, and her eyes met Lando's bright ones.

"Shh, It's just me." Lando shushed her, lying down on her torso. "I've been looking for you. Was getting worried." he put the one earphone in his own ear, and wrapped his arms around her abdomen.

Amelia just went with it. "Yeah. Just needed a break from everything for a few minutes." she sighed and looked up.
