Y/N and Tate settled on the couch, their legs tangled together as they prepared to start the live stream. Tate's head rested on Y/N's shoulder, her arm draped casually across Y/N's lap. The excitement in the air was contagious as Y/N grinned at the camera, her free hand holding her phone, ready to dive into the unreleased songs from Tate's new album, "think later."

"Hey, guys!" Y/N greeted as the live stream went live, fans instantly flooding in with comments and hearts. "You won't believe what we're doing tonight—I'm finally getting to listen to some of the songs Tate's been keeping secret from me. I made her wait so we could do this together."

Tate laughed, looking both excited and nervous. "Yeah, you have no idea how hard it's been not to share these with you, Y/N. But I'm glad we're doing this together."

The fans went wild in the comments:

fan1: "OMG YESSSS! We've been waiting for this!"

fan2: "I'm so ready to see you cry Y/N!!"

fan3: "This album is like the end of the world! I love you Tate!"

"I love her too fan3" Y/N answers that last comment.

With a deep breath, Y/N clicked play on the first song, "plastic palm trees." As the song started, Y/N's playful expression slowly turned serious. She nodded along to the beat, but it was clear that the lyrics were hitting her hard.

"Damn, babe," Y/N said, her voice filled with emotion as she glanced at Tate. "This one is hitting hard. It's about us, isn't it?"

Tate nodded, her eyes soft. "Yeah, I wrote it when we were going through that rough patch. I wasn't sure if I should put it on the album, but it's part of our story."

fan4: "Y/N, are you okay? I'm still crying every time I hear it!"

fan5: "This song is so deep... Tate, you're amazing."

Y/N smiled at the supportive comments but kept her focus on Tate. "It slaps, though. It's got that vibe where you want to dance, but also cry your heart out. I mean, who gave you permission to write something this good?"

Tate chuckled, squeezing Y/N's hand. "I'm just glad you like it."

As "messier" began, Y/N's expression softened even more. The song's rawness was almost overwhelming, and tears quickly filled Y/N's eyes. The lyrics reflected the chaos they had both felt during their breakup, and Y/N couldn't help but sniffle as she listened.

"This one's gonna make me cry, I can feel it," Y/N said, wiping away a tear. "Tate, you really poured your heart out in this one."

Tate nodded, her own eyes misting over. "I did. Writing this one was tough, but it helped me process everything."

fan6: "Y/N, don't cry! We're all crying with you!"

fan7: "This is so emotional... We love you both!"

Y/N turned to Tate, her voice thick with emotion. "It was hard, but it made us stronger, right? Stronger and messier, apparently."

Tate leaned into Y/N, resting her head on her shoulder. "Definitely messier, but I wouldn't change a thing."

After a few moments of cuddling and calming down, Y/N clicked on "run for the hills." Immediately, the sultry beat filled the room, and Y/N's mood shifted. A mischievous grin spread across her face as she listened to the lyrics, her eyebrows shooting up in playful surprise.
