Everyone stared at Chloe in surprise. "What's wrong, Miss Anderson?" Bree asked nudging Chloe and Chloe just shrugged.

Aiden stared at Chloe before scoffing and looking away.

"Well.. I guess we will be on our way then. But you know Chloe, you should learn to keep your personal feelings from business." Aiden said before walking away.

Everyone else, except Chloe, gaped at Aiden. Marcel cleared his throat.

"I am so sorry about him. Our accountant will send the deposit. Thank you and I apologize, once again." Marcel said before rushing after Aiden.

The moment Marcel walked away, Layla and Bree turned to Chloe.

"He called you by your name." Layla said surprised. Chloe scoffed again. "He did, didn't he?" Chloe  sneered.

Bree waved her hand dismissively.

"I don't even care about that. Why didn't you shake his hand? And what did he mean by personal feelings? Did you know him before?" Bree rushed out and Chloe looked away.

Bree and Layla widened their eyes in shock. "No way." They both said.

All of a sudden, Bree gasped.

"Oh my gosh, is he an ex? He is isn't he? I knew you had it in you, Chloe... I mean, Miss Anderson." Bree said dancing around while Layla looked impressed.

Chloe looked aghast. "What? No.. no, no, no. He is not an ex. He is just someone I used to know. Someone I hate. Someone I hate so damn much." Chloe said, glaring at the chair Aiden just vacated.

Aiden sighed in frustration while Marcel glared at him. They went to Aiden's apartment after the meeting.

"Are you crazy? Don't mix personal feelings with business? If there is anyone doing that, it's you. How do you expect her to forgive you now? We were this close to finishing the meeting without any hitch. Let's just hope they still want to partner with us after this. Seriously, what were you thinking? You even called her by her name??" Marcel yelled at Aiden.

Aiden rolled his eyes.

"I didn't even do anything. I just told her not to mix personal feelings with business." Aiden said defensively and Marcel shook his head.

"I give up. Amy is the only one who can talk some sense into you... But what have you decided to do?" Marcel said.

Aiden raised his eyebrow inquisitively. "What do you mean?" He asked, leaning back on the chair he was sitting.

"About your Father. If he finds out that Chloe is back..." Marcel said and Aiden frowned.

"I don't know.... You know how my dad is." Aiden said and Marcel scoffed.

"I think Amy is right. Your dad was the reason you lost Chloe before. Are you going to let him ruin your chances with her again? When will you learn to say no to him? After all, you are the one who is in charge now aren't you?" Marcel said and Aiden smiled.

"If only it were that easy. Last time I had to choose between my dad and her... I chose to run. And I think that is what I will choose again. How do you choose between the girl you love and the person who gave birth to you?" Aiden said, tiredly.

Marcel sighed. "This has nothing to do with choice. You just need to learn to stand up to your dad. He doesn't control your life. Besides, how could you even consider doing what your dad says? That is just bull, bro." Marcel said and Aiden sighed.

"Look, let's just talk about something else okay?" Aiden said biting his lower lip.

Marcel shook his head. "Fine. Whatever. But you will have to make a decision sooner or later. Anyways, I feel like getting drunk tonight. Maybe I can go to the club we went to last time. Wanna come?" Marcel said and Aiden shook his head.

"Nah. I am just going to chill at home. Have fun." Aiden said and Marcel nodded before standing up and walking towards the door.

As he opened the door, he turned back to Aiden. "What?" Aiden asked and Marcel sighed.

"I just wanted to tell you that I will always have your back.. no matter what decision you make. Don't forget we have a meeting tomorrow. See you." Marcel rushed out before walking out and slamming the door behind him.

Aiden sighed as he stared at the door. "I hope you will be able to keep that promise." Aiden muttered throwing his head back in frustration.

Bree stared at Chloe who had been acting weird ever since the meeting. She spaced out and made mistakes. Chloe never made mistakes and she was always focused at work. So imagine Bree's confusion.

"Okay. I can't do this anymore. You said you hated Mr Thompson. So why are you acting weird?" Bree said to Chloe who had been staring at a blank wall.

Chloe looked at her. "Hmm? What? No, I have not been acting weird." Chloe said and Bree looked at her in disbelief.

"You spaced out and you made so many mistakes that poor Mr Lincoln couldn't even count them. You are always so focused but after that meeting, you just lost focus." Bree explained and Chloe sighed.

"Okay.. Maybe you are right. God, why did he appear again? I thought that time was the last time I would see him.. I guess life just wants me to kill him." Chloe said clenching her hands.

Bree raised her eyebrows.

"Okay.... And what exactly did he do to deserve death?" Bree asked and Chloe scoffed.

"How about existing? Or appearing in my life? Trust me, that man may look handsome, successful and whatnot, but he is... A terrible person. And I am sure that Marcel Martinez is just like him. After all, birds of a feather flock together." Chloe said fiercely.

Bree rolled her eyes. "Okay, whatever. Today has been terribly stressful. So I am going to go out and get hammered. After all, there is nothing better than getting drunk after a stressful day." Bree said and Chloe rolled her eyes.

"Well... Are you coming? We can go to that club we went to the last time." Bree said and Chloe shook her head.

"No. I think I just want to go home and sleep." Chloe said and Bree shrugged.

"Okay then. See you later. Make sure you go home early. Don't stay overtime." Bree scolded and Chloe chuckled.

"Yeah. Whatever. Goodbye." Chloe said waving Bree away. Bree smiled before walking out of Chloe's office.
