As I sat in my room, Marie—the maid who had been with me since my arrival—was chatting away, her cheerful demeanor a small comfort in this otherwise dismal situation. We were sharing a laugh over a joke she told, her warmth a brief respite from the cold reality I was trapped in.

"So, Sophie," Marie said, her tone light and conspiratorial, "I've seen the way Killian talks about you. It's clear he's got a lot of expectations for you. But I think you're handling everything really well."

I managed a weak smile, nodding in acknowledgment. Marie's words felt like an attempt at reassurance, but I couldn't shake the feeling that my situation was getting worse. I remained silent, my thoughts swirling with uncertainty.

Just then, my phone rang, interrupting our conversation. I glanced at the screen and saw an unfamiliar number. Hesitating for a moment, I answered the call.

"Hello?" I said cautiously.

"Hi, I'm Leo," the voice on the other end began. "I'm reaching out because we're looking for people interested in a new job opportunity. Specifically, people who are single and open to working in a stripping environment."

I blinked in confusion. "Stripping? What's that?"

Leo chuckled softly. "Stripping is a type of performance where people dance and gradually remove their clothing. It's a form of entertainment, and we're looking for new performers for our club. It pays well and offers flexible hours."

The offer was unexpected, but the idea of earning my own money and gaining some independence was tempting. "I see. And what would this job involve?"

"You'd be working at a well-regarded strip club. The owner is someone named Dimitri. He's looking for new talent. Are you interested?"

I weighed my options and decided this could be a way to gain some autonomy. "Yes, I'm interested."

"Great," Leo said. "Your first shift will be tomorrow at 7 PM. I'll make the necessary arrangements."

After ending the call, I turned to Marie with a thoughtful expression. "I've just accepted a job offer. I'll be starting tomorrow evening."

Marie's curiosity was evident as she tilted her head. "What job did you get, if you don't mind me asking?"

I hesitated for a moment, weighing how much to reveal. Finally, I replied, "It's a position at a lingerie store. I'm sure Killian will be fine with it since guys don't really go into lingerie stores."

Marie nodded, seemingly reassured. "That sounds like a good fit for you. Just remember to stay safe and keep your wits about you."

As Marie left, I felt a pang of anxiety mixed with determination. The job at the lingerie store was a cover for what I knew would be a much more challenging and revealing role at the strip club. But it was a step towards gaining some control and independence in my constrained life.

I couldn't shake the fear that clung to me about telling Killian. The idea of him finding out about my real job at the strip club made my heart race. I knew I needed to find a way to gain his approval for the lingerie store job, hoping it would buy me some time and space.

Maybe if I played my cards right, I could seduce him into agreeing. If I could use my charm and play on his desires, I might just convince him to let me have this small semblance of freedom. It was a risky move, but it was the only plan I had to gain a foothold in this increasingly complicated situation.
