Chapter 9 - Preparations

3rd person's PoV:

Out of nowhere, the Gravity Theme song bursts out through the bedroom. Tyler sleepily grabbed his phone. It was a call from Danny. Tyler hesitated. He knew he wasn't on good terms with Danny, so why was he suddenly calling him. At 12.31 too. He sighed and pressed accept.

"Tyler?"

"Daniel."

There was an awkward silence before Danny spoke up.

"We found the fucker who raped Jessica."

"Who?"

"Xavier."

There was a pause.

"OK. Meet me at my place. The others are here. Bring some bats. Maybe a knife if you have one."

With that, Danny hung up. Taking a quick shower and changing into a black t-shirt and grey sweatpants, Tyler packed some weapons. After some thought, he brought four hoodies along with him. Just in case they get recognised considering the fact that what they're doing isn't exactly legal. Finishing a soda he found in the fridge, he left his room and headed to Danny's. Upon being greeted by Hunter, he stepped in. On his left was Matthew on the couch, drinking another beer can. Danny leaned on a table with laptops behind him. He smirked. "Well, the gang's finally back, huh?" Matthew got off the couch and offered a bottle of Heineken. An eyebrow was raised. "You know I hate that shit right?" Danny cleared his throat. "Tonight, we-" "We steal the moon!" Exclaimed Hunter, Matthew and Tyler at the same time, earning a glare from Danny. "Idiots. Tonight, we avenge Jessica. Actually, if you don't mind me asking, why are you guys doing this? Math?"

Matthew sighed. "It's my fault. I shouldn't have just left her there. I was pissed at her. Told her we shouldn't be friends. I regret that. If I just walked her back or something she wouldn't have been... you know. I may have said something that I didn't deserve the right to" He looked at Tyler and nodded. "Well, it's pretty simple for me. I beat her up. I shouldn't have. I'm not forgiving myself for it but this does make me feel slightly better. Hunt? Wait no, his reason is simple. He likes her."

Hunter's PoV:

"W-What?! I see her as nothing more than a friend!" Shit. He knows. Why are they staring at me? "What are you doing? Why are you looking at me? Do I have something on my face or something?" The others burst out laughing. "If a blush counts then yes." Joked Danny. I flipped a middle finger at them. "OK fine! I do! So what? Is that so wrong? How about you Danny? Why are you involved?" Silence fell across the room. "You guys punched her. Xavier freakin' raped her. So I thought of doing something good for her. You know, just to make it seem like the whole world isn't against her."
Tyler smirked. "So, you're cheating on Yasmine now?" Danny gave a stone cold look at him. "Say that again and I think it'll be hard to hit on girls without teeth.

(A/N : Sometime during the three months, Yasmine and Danny started dating. More will be revealed later :D )

3rd person's PoV:

"Ok. Here's the plan. We ask Xavier to meet up somewhere remote. Then, we beat the living shit out of him."

"That's a good plan, Math. And just how will we get Xavier to meet up?"

"Well, Danny. You're gonna be useful for once. Can you hack a girl's phone and tell him to meet somewhere? Say the computer lab?"

This earned looks of disgust and confusion from the others.

"What?"

"Math, people make out in the computer lab. Probably not a good idea to have witnesses. I use it sometimes myself."

"Could have done without the last part Ty. Why not just do it in his dorm?"

"Danny, did you drink my beer? You think he'll let four guys into his room when a girl is supposed to?"

"Maybe he's bisexual?"

That earned blank stares from everyone.

"OK why not just ask him to meet at the volleyball court."

(A/N: The volleyball court is indoors.)

"There may be cameras. I'll check it out."

A few minutes passed by. "OK. So I made a loop. But it can't last forever. We gotta do it now." Matthew sighed. "Now, we gotta bring him there. What type of girl would he be interested in?" They had a thought. "Brittany?" Suggested Tyler. The others nodded. Brittany was relatively beautiful and was quite a dominant person. If she wanted to meet someone it would be at night considering that her reputation was at stake. Plus, many boys tended to stare at her, particularly as she was picking up something. After around 15 minutes of joking around while Danny was at work, the trio heard a text chime and surrounded Danny who had a devilish grin on his face. "Bingo." On his laptop screen, there were multiple texts. The last one was an agreement to meet up at the volleyball court in 45 minutes. As they got ready, Tyler passed out the hoodies and baseball bats. "We may go to jail for this but if we go down, we go down together." Danny wiped away a non-existent tear. "Beautiful. Just beautiful." Just then, he received a text from Yasmine. Suddenly, he burst out laughing. "Hunt! My man! You slept with her?! Nice job?" The others looked around, dumbfounded. Hunter glared at Danny. "For your information, we didn't do anything. We just slept." The others looked at him and nodded unconvincingly. "Anyway, we'll laugh about this later. For now, let's just go and beat up Xavier's ass." With that, the four of them left Danny's room.(A/N: Sorry if this chapter is shitty. I couldn't really think. Though I will probably move my updates to weekly since school is starting. See you in the next chapter!
