«All packed and ready to go?» Asked Leonard, while stepping inside the house.

«Yes we are. Penny is in the bathroom: Elliott had a potty accident, it won't take long» replied Amy.

Several weeks had passed since Sheldon and Amy had received the news. They'd been weeks full of diapers to change, cries to calm (both from babies and adults), and strolls in the woods. Finally the day had come to go back to Pasadena.

Leonard's health was starting to fail and so did Penny's ability to pretend everything was okay. Amy had tried her best to comfort her everytime Leonard was not in the room, but words, in situations like such, have never been of good use.

Sheldon, on the other hand, had proven to be very mature most of the time. Except when they went to watch Spoiler Alert, at the cinema. That had been a very questionable decision given the topic, but he really couldn't resist a film starring his second favorite - only after Leonard Nimoy - actor in the whole world: Jim Parsons!

So there they were, all ready to go back, standing in the living room. And yet something didn't feel right. Something was missing: Sheldon could feel it.

«What's wrong buddy?» asked Leonard, after caughting his friend glancing back and forth at the staircase.

«I feel like I am forgetting something»

«C'mon! Maybe is just an impression: you checked your list hundreds of time»

«Leonard! You must trust my guts: they, as well as every other part in my body are never wrong»

«Oh, shut up and help me bring all the suitcases to the van»

And so they pushed and panted until every bag was in the back of the van. Penny, Amy and the kids were standing next to the car.

«Let's enter, shall we?» said Leonard, the car key ready in his hand.

«WAIT» shouted Sheldon. «I REMEMBER! I remember what I was forgetting» And, just like that, he rushed inside.

He came out a few minutes later, with a small wooden box.

«What are we all waiting for? Let's go! We'll miss the flight!» cried Sheldon.

«We were waiting for you, smarty pants!» replied Penny.

When they were all inside and the van started moving, Leonard spoke: «So? You're not telling us what's inside the box?»

«Didn't your mother teach you to mind your own business? Oh, wait, I know your mother: you were probably the one who wasn't listening then»

«Very funny Sheldon...»
