You felt Soap's hands on your waist, and your heart skipped a beat. There was a playful grin on his face, and his eyes had a mischievous glint that made it clear he was up to something.
"Soap, what are you doing?" you asked, your voice laced with a mix of curiosity and caution. You knew Soap well enough to sense when he was about to push the boundaries.
He chuckled softly, leaning in just a bit closer. "Just checking if you're still in one piece after last night," he teased, his voice low and suggestive.
Your face flushed at his words. It was no secret to him what had happened between you and Ghost the night before, and now Soap was taking the opportunity to have a little fun with it.
"Soap," you warned, trying to pull away, but his grip on your waist tightened just enough to keep you in place without being forceful.
"What? Just making sure you're not too worn out," he smirked, clearly enjoying the effect his words were having on you.
"Cut it out," you muttered, though you couldn't help the small smile tugging at the corners of your mouth. Soap always had a way of getting under your skin, but it was hard to stay mad at him.
He laughed again, a soft, throaty sound that made your heart race. "Relax, I'm just messing with you," he said, finally letting you go. But the way he looked at you—there was something more there, something that made it clear he wasn't just joking around.
"Maybe next time you should pick a guy who'll actually let you do the dishes afterward," he quipped, his tone lighter now, but his eyes still holding that flirtatious edge.
You rolled your eyes, trying to shake off the lingering tension. "You're impossible, you know that?"
"Yeah, but you love it," Soap shot back, his grin widening as he sauntered out of the room, leaving you standing there, your mind a whirlwind of thoughts.
As you watched him go, you couldn't help but wonder what he'd do next—and if you were ready for whatever game he was about to start playing.
