One evening, Y/N decided to confront the situation head-on. She had spent days trying to make sense of what had happened, and now she needed closure. With steely determination, she made her way to the campus café where Jungkook and Yuna often hung out.
As she entered, her heart pounded in her chest. Jungkook and Yuna were seated at a corner table, their laughter filling the air. Y/N approached them with a sense of resolve, her eyes locked on Jungkook’s.
“Jungkook,” Y/N said firmly, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. “We need to talk.”
Jungkook looked up, surprise evident on his face. “Y/N, what are you doing here?”
“I want to know why you did it,” Y/N said, her gaze unwavering. “Why did you use me like that?”
Jungkook’s expression hardened. “I already told you. It was a challenge. I didn’t expect to fall for you, but it’s over now.”
Y/N took a deep breath, fighting back the tears. “You know, it’s not just about the challenge. It’s about how you treated me. You were rude, cold, and distant. I thought it was just your nature, but now I see it was all a facade.”
Yuna, who had been watching the exchange with interest, finally spoke up. “You know, Jungkook’s not the only one to blame here. You should have seen this coming. He’s always been like this.”
Y/N’s anger flared. “Don’t you dare try to make excuses for him! He’s the one who played with my feelings, not you.”
Jungkook’s face softened slightly, but his words were still harsh. “Y/N, I’m sorry if you’re hurt. But it’s done now. You need to move on.”
Y/N’s heart ached at his words, but she refused to let him see her cry. “I don’t need your apology. I just needed to hear the truth. Now I can move on.”
With that, Y/N turned and walked away, leaving the café behind. The finality of the confrontation settled over her like a heavy weight. She had faced the truth and now had to find a way to heal.
