Took a wrong turn, and we...

Having made it successfully to Pan's ever-moving camp, Emma and I set up our tent in the outskirts. The next morning came slowly for me, having tossed and turned all night.

"Ell'?" Emma murmurs sleepily as I make my way out.

"Morning, Ems." I mutter groggily.
"Are we going today?" I ask, initiating conversation after an awkward silence befell us.

Stupid question, I know, but I'm too nervous to think straight.

"Yeah. After breakfast." Emma affirms, her gaze on anything but me.

I run my hand on my face, resting the other one on my hip.

"It'll be okay, Ella." Emma speaks, catching on to my train of thought, "He'll be okay."

I sigh, "Let's get this over with."
I begin to make my way to prepare myself for the persuading we'd have to do in order to get the cure.

"Ella?"

I turn to meet Emma's hopeful gaze with my hopeless one.

"For dad." She proposes, sticking out her fist towards me. I smile a bit, "For dad."

Post freshening up, Emma and I made our way to Pan's camp. It was bustling with rowdy boys as they went on with their daily chores and routines. Some made games of it, others, mostly the elder ones, looked on like irritated parents as they did their share.

"Looking for someone?" Someone asks, their voice tinged with caution.

I turn to meet the dreary eyes of a blonde boy with a scar that was clearly inflicted by a harsh blow from a blade. He towered over us like a giant, his face relaying no useful information.

"Pan." I say curtly, not liking the feeling of intimidation he brought with him.

"For what?"

"We need his help finding a cure." Emma points out.

"He won't help you."

I was about to give him a piece of my mind before another boy beat me to it.

Speaking, I mean.

"What's going, Felix?"

Felix, I presume, scowl at us, "Nothing. They were just leaving."

"We were?" I ask sarcastically.
Emma shoot me a look.

"You've got fire, I like fire." The boy from earlier spoke. I finally look at him, my eyes locking with his green ones.

Woah.

He clears his throat, a smirk gracing his features making me slightly weak in the knees.
If this is how Emma feels whenever she's with Killian, I don't know how she controls herself.

"I'm Peter. Peter Pan."

I choke on my words, "Um... I'm Emma, she's Ella. Wait no— The other way around. I'm not Emma."

I begged the earth to swallow me whole as I stuttered hopelessly.

If anything, Pan's smirk only grew as she responded, mocking me gently, "Nice to meet you, Not Emma."

"Anyway, we need your help..." Emma quips, missing the awkward tension by a long shot.

*

Trodding through Neverland with my unofficial crush is wierd. Emma, having vaguely explaining our desperate situation, managed to sway him to our favour at a small cost.

I had to come along.

As I followed behind him as he walked through the dense undergrowth, I keep my mouth shut.

If I'm being honest, I didn't know why we didn't just fly there or something.

"We can't fly there because the cure we need is in a plant that dies in the presence of magic," Pan states as if he could read my thoughts.

"Ah... Okay."
At least the stuttering was gone.

"Not a talker?"

"Not when I'm nervous." I reply shortly.

"I make you nervous?" He turns around to face me, a raised eyebrow adding to his charm. Still walking, backwards at that, he awaits my response.

"More or less," I reply. His curious question make me shiver.

"Hm... Can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing." He admits with a slight smirk.

"A bit of both?" I reply.

He turns back around, falling back to walk side by side with me. His steps matching mine. I notice it but say nothing.

We walk into an open field, causing me to glance at him in question. A frown fits my face when I see his confusion.

"Where the hell are we?"
