Didn't they tell us, don't rush into things?

"I swear to Merlin, you always get yourself in trouble." Peter scolded, his touch gently assessing my bruises.

Okay, I know, you're wondering:
"What has the klutz done again?"

Well, after I ate the cupcake, I managed to turn myself into a giant blueberry. And you know what loose blueberries do?

They roll!
Roll I did, waking Peter in the process.

And you know what else blueberries are good at?
Being useless at steering.

I bumped straight into a big mushroom tree, sending me into the depths of unconscious. By the time I woke up, I was blue but no longer blue.

If you know what I mean.

"I'm fine." I wave him off.

"You're blue." Peter points out.

"At least I'm not a berry." I quip, shrugging.

"How did you manage to turn into that rolling death ball."

"Cupcake."

"You mean the one that was in the box—"

"—That said 'eat me'? Yeah... I was hungry."

"If your appetite gets you to be that stupid, I wonder what else it can get you to do."

"Hey!"

"I feel like a disappointed parent."

"I'm not a child."

"There, there," Pan past my head mockingly, "Someday you'll grow up."
I chuckle at the irony.

The immortal teen telling me that someday I'll grow up?

"Anyways, come on. We need to go. Find shelter for the night." Subconsciously he offered his hand.

I take it, too happy at the opportunity to realise what a big mistake I was making. His warm hands fit in mine, firmly.

Oh well.
What's done is done.

I'm not gonna pull away now.
