ଳ Chapter 3 ଳ

Frye's pov:

Marina and Pearl are driving me completely insane with their bugging about who my crush is. I try to stay calm, but I break.

"A-Alright, alright! I like Shiver, okay!?" I say, and I realize only after I said it. I turn a bit red and gulp a little.

I look at Shiver and notice the blush on her cheeks growing more and more by each second, looking surprised.

"Well, things got a lot more interesting, didnt they, Shivs?" Pearl grins widely and looks at her

My eyes dart between the three of them, getting embarrassed.

Oh my god, why the fuck did I say that!? I didnt want to say it out loud!..

I think to myself.

"H-How long has that..b-been for, Frye?" Shiver asks, her voice a bit shaky and shocked.

"I-I..It has been for a while, alright? I-I just, can't quite take my eyes off of you.." I say, admiting the whole truth.

Marina, Pearl and Shiver stare at me, surprise in their eyes. Marina starts to smile widely and giggle.

"Oh my god, this is so cutee! Im sure you two would be a great couple!" Marina says sweetly, clearly happy with the confession.

"Well, I think we should give you two some time alone, you lovebirds." Pearl says cheekily, getting up and leaving with Marina.

I look awkwardly at Shiver and clear my throat.

"L-Look, I didnt want it to come out like that.. I-I didnt think they would push me to say it." I say, my foot tapping on the floor nervously.

Shiver leans closer and tilts her head a little.

"Its alright, you have a nice charm. So.. I guess its mutual." She says a bit quietly, her cheeks tinted with a blush.

My eyes widen at her words in shock, but that turns into a spark of happiness and excitement.

"Y-You.. like me back?" I say a bit nervously.

"Yeah. I do, really. I was just better at hiding it than you were." She chuckles softly. God, I love that sound.

"Do you maybe, wanna go back and talk about it in your room? Or mine?" I say with a soft smile.

"Why not? Let's go." Shiver gets up and takes my hand, holding it tightly in hers. I smile more and we get out of the cafe.

We are sitting on the floor of my room, face to face. I look at her and scratch the back of my head.

"So.. What do we wanna talk ou-" I suddenly get pulled into a nice hug, blinking a few times. I soften up and hug her back, starting to cuddle with Shivs.

She giggles a little and smiles sweetly.

"How about we talk out our relationship now?" Shiver tilts her head and starts to play with my tentacles in a gentle manner.

I melt into her touch and look up at her, now a puddle of jello.

"Y-Yeah, we can do that." I snuggle up to her body, finding comfort in her touch.

"Well, now that we are.. girlfriends, we can do anything we want." She smiles and kisses my forehead softly.

I sit up a little and nod at her, leaning closer. I take a deep breath and lean in, giving Shiver a small kiss. I pull back and look in her eyes, laying my head on her lap.

She smiles and leans closer to kiss my cheek and nose.

"You look so adorable, laying on my lap like that." She smiles more.

Oh my god, what did I do to deserve such a nice octoling like her in my life? It feels like a dream to me..

I think to myself.

I yawn a little and look at her a bit tiredly.

"Do you wanna.. go to sleep, cuddle maybe?" I suggest with a small smile.

"Yeah, a cuddle sounds nice." She gets up and walks to my bed, laying down. I walk to Shiver and lay down next to her.

She takes my Eel plushie and looks at it.

"Aww, you have an Eel plushie, Frye. How adorable." She giggles.

I look at at the plushie in her hands abd blush a little out of embarrassment.

"O-Oh this little old thing? Its nothing. I definitely dont cuddle with it at night.." I say quietly.

"Well now you dont have to if you did." Shiver openes ber arms to me and hugs me tight, her arms surrounding me fully. I sigh softly and smile.

"Thanks, Shivs. I.. love you." I say softly, closing my eyes and falling asleep.

She kisses the top of my head and closes her eyes.

"I love you too, Frye."

After that.. We falls asleep right beside eachother, cuddling and sleeping peacefuly.
