"This kid is just something else. Who would have thought that he would do something as drastic as that?" Atlas Douluo said exaggeratedly as he looked at the unconscious young man in front of him. That young man who has been sleeping there for 3 days after doing a stunt that effectively gave a billboard saying "come here there's a threat", not that Shrek was anything but a threat.
Even the holy spirit Douluo, Ya Li didn't know why Tang Wulin wouldn't wake up from his slumber but what she did know was that the holy tree would protect Tang Wulin profusely. Her husband refused to explain why, reasoning that it's for her protection. Nonetheless waiting was their only option as only Tang Wulin and Xie Xie were witness to what happened
Xie Xie, who is also recuperating. He was awake but he also did not know what was going on. All the information that he could give was that the train exploded on top of them and that the culprit was a humanoid monster that was far too powerful and used an energy that wasn't soul power.
While useful, that information only gave us one clue. Being that the creature was not from the Douluo continent, possibly an abyssal creature but the very thought of one infiltrating this close into the Shrek city puts fear within even Yun Ming. It was good that Tang Wulin seemingly vaporized it without a second thought.
While Ya Li and Yun Ming were conversing, an ascertained silver haired girl dashed into the room before looking at the frozen boy with hopeful eyes, only for them to lose their light. " Master, he's still not awake." the girl said as she went to hug the holy spirit Ya Li who in turn caressed her hair. "Don't worry my dear, you brother will be okay, the holy tree will make sure of it." Ya Li whispered to her, something she's heard a multitude of times.
The classroom was silent not just because of the temporary loss of their captain but because of the constant disparaging aura that enveloped one corner of the room. Gu Yue and company were not in a good mood, Tang Wulin's influence on them was paramount to their continued complacency. Since Tang Wulin was within the The Sea Gods pavilion, the group wasn't allowed to see him, something that did not help with the negative ambience.
The worst of all, Gu Yue, she had not known the effect that a simple 3 days away would have on her, the absolute mutiny that attacked her body when he was away was never as strong as it has been now. It was a bubbling furnace, a mire that was set aflame when she knew about what happened, or rather, what was told to her by others. Xie Xie explained what he could, and she understood far more than Xie Xie knew from that very same information.
She was furious. At the Abyssal realm, at the soul masters that didn't respond fast enough, to society for allowing an abyssal creature so close to their civilization. But her anger was also directed to herself and Tang Wulin. The reason, she didn't know herself. What she did know was that she was losing control, Tang Wulin was the only thing on her mind, tethering her to insanity and seducing her into a rampage. Na'er's freedom to visit as she pleased was a thorn in her side, a suture of jealousy that made no sense at all. They were the same being and yet, she was jealous of the fact that Na'er could be by his side.
Every time she thought about it, her spirit power surged through the room, scaring even Wu Zhangkong. Gu Yue's spirit power far exceeds those around her, surprising even her. It was not supposed to be this strong, Reaching Spirit domain realm at such a low cultivation was said to be impossible, and it was until 3 days ago.
Gu Yue had reached that point, not with her original strength but with a new power that appeared seemingly from nowhere, it can within herself, a sea of energy that should not have existed, a decades with of power, implanted into her and surging through her body. If not for experience with this power in her prime, she would have died due to over exposure. Nevertheless, that power seemed boundless, barely kept contained by her will.
