Chapter 37: And As Such, Confusion

The mind has always been malleable, seeming to be an infinite darkness, it flows and grows at random. With that mindscape, Tang Wulin lay in silence, letting the waves flow through him keeping him afloat.

"Hey Wulin, wake up!" A voice surged from the abyss itself, awakening Tang Wulin. Muttering nonsense, Tang Wulin gets up slowly while observing his surroundings. His senses used to its highest effect as a precaution. The last thing he remembers was using his soul essence skill and then seeing Gu Yue in the distance.

"Well, you're not dead, lucky you. The golden dragon arrogance skills are incredibly dangerous for both the target and the user. One wrong move and you would be obliterated."

Tang Wulin, still in a stupor, remembers the voice being heard. Jin, the original golden dragon king. The golden dragon arrogance skills was something Tang Wulin was not used to. It wasn't present in his past life. But something more intriguing caught his mind. The golden dragon: Oblivion wings were not the only golden dragon arrogance skill.

"Of course not, The golden dragon arrogance skills originate from the dragon gods own dragon god pride skills. The absolute power of a dragon is held within them. How could only one hold such strength"

Tang Wulin simply shrugged at Jin's interruption. Interesting indeed. Abilities directly derived from the dragon god were never even thought about. More for the reason none knew about the dragon god baring the very strongest of beings. From the legends that Tang Wulin did know, The dragon had no need for skills or techniques, simply trampling over all things through pure strength alone was sufficient. But under thought, the dragon gods control over the elements would be evidence enough for it to have a multitude of abilities not found.

One of which is now known to be the dragon gods pride skills. What is pride for a god is only arrogance for a king.

Jin's voice grumbled in the atmosphere causing ripples in the abyss below. The extreme landscape of a sea with no light. A mire in which thoughts re botha refuge and a trap. Nevertheless, Tang Wulin decided to walk, the direction was of no consequence, walking in any direction would give the same result and yet, he continued.

" Jin, explain to me why I am here" Tang Wulin voiced his concerns with little to no attachment, neither showing his worry or confidence, he asked just as anyone else would.

"Because of your hasty use of the oblivion wings, your body is in a vegetative state Wulin. I decided to give you a little boost in your evolution into the golden dragon king by giving you my concept. Which allowed you to unlock the golden dragon king's arrogance skills."

Tang Wulin nodded while walking, attentively absorbing the information being given. "If you gave me your concept, does that mean you will cease to exist?" It would be unfortunate for Jin to leave. It had not been long since they had officially conversed but they were both golden dragon kings, the closest thing to a brother albeit, a self destructive brotherhood indeed.

Nevertheless, the golden dragon king's power is what Tang Wulin to this point, no doubt he would have become powerful without it, given the circumstance, he may have been able to stay in the divine realm, however, he would miss out on so many opportunities, people, and experience. Yes, they may have been estranged, but Tang Wulin would much rather swim through murky waters than be pampered in shallow waters in the divine realm.

"It is a little difficult to fully explain but, once I have fully integrated, we will share the same personification. Tang Wulin is Jin and Jin is Tang Wulin. I will no longer have a soul of my own."

Wulin nodded once again. It wasn't a difficult concept from the 3rd person but experience is something that words are not completely capable of explaining. That doesn't quite explain why he is in this space in the first place though.
