Today was match day minus one. It was just a friendly against Southampton. My signing was still unknown of to the team, and today was the day that jonas was announcing it.
As the team walked into the meeting room, i sat in the pitch black corner, hoping not to be spotted by anyone. The team continued to walk past, however i spotted someone catch my eye. Luckily it was Kyra and alessia who had noticed me, not anyone else.
'Alright girls. Before we get ready to go to the coach, i have some news. Now you are probably wondering why you are in here on a match day. It is because we have a new signing. A person very close to some of your hearts.' Jonas began. This was my queue to get up. I walked up to the front where Jonas was standing. I turned to face the group and i heard two loud gasps, that stood out in the group.
'El? You're signing officially.' Katie said, shocked.
'Yup.' I replied 'it's been hard to keep it a secret for this long but i guess i had a couple of people to help me. Although they almost spilled it about twelve times.' This caused everyone in the room to laugh apart from Kyra and alessia who just glared at me and rolled their eyes.
Half an hour later and we were on the coach, ready to go to Southampton. I sat next to Kyra with alessia and vic on the other side. I snuggled into Kyra's side as we listened to my favourite's playlist on my AirPods. We Both had an ear in so we could listen together. Kyra liked some of my music, and I had added left outside alone just for her, however she didn't really listen daily to much of the other stuff. It was mine and Alessias favourite music, country. I especially liked Morgan wallen, Luke combs and Zach Bryan. I also had loads of Taylor swift songs on my playlist which Kyra knew a few of the songs, just not the names.
Once we arrived at the stadium we got out of the coach and walked through to the changing rooms. The staff had given me the staff kit so i looked like i was not a future player. When we got into the changing rooms, i was allowed in and i sat with Kyra and alessia as we talked about the match. I left them to get into game mode, going to sit on Steph's lap.
'Oi get off.' She said pulling me to sit next to her instead of on her. Steph had taken a knock in training so would be sitting this match out with Lotte and Beth.
As kick off time came we all went and sat on the sub bench. I sat next to Codina and Kafaji as they were coming on later.
27 minutes in and the score was level. There was some scrambling in the box and an attempted shot before the ball fell back to Kyra on the back left hand side of the box. There was one player on her. She moved the ball from her right foot to her left and shot it towards goal. It felt like time slowed right down as i watched the ball sail through the air and into the back of the net. Kyra had just scored her first ever arsenal goal. I screamed and then celebrated with Laia before sitting down to continue watching. At half time, jonas announced there were going to be nine players being subbed

As Kyra came and sat on the bench, I sat down next to her with alessia on the other side and hugged her, congratulating her on her goal.
Once the match was over, we headed back home. The coach journey was a few hours but it felt like no time as me less and Kyra chatted and played uno.
When we got back to the training centre, i got the car with Kyra and alessia and drove back to our house, dropping less off on the way.
When me and Kyra got home, we slumped down on the sofa and ordered Nando's before watching bend it like beckham.
A/n sorry for the long wait. Just not been great at writing and then when I have got writing it's been hard to write about stuff. I have a couple sad ideas to keep the story going with so just stay tuned. Once these ideas are out, I will let you give your opinions on whether it should be a bad or good ending.
