Yvaine's POV
The sound of the blood-red wine flowing back and forth in Storm's wine glass is the only sound that fills the room. She turns her wrist slowly and swirls the last bit of wine in her glass. There are black lips on the rim of the glass because of her black lipstick.
With her other hand she taps the back of her chair against the living room wall. There's no name on it, but this is officially Storm's chair since it's been placed in this room, none of the five of us are going to stand in it.
Donna walks into the living room with her retarded face, I'm glad she has her mask on so I don't have to look at my sister's face. The door closes behind her.
"The Lunars are so stupid..." she says and sits down on one of the two benches, as far away from me as possible, the completely opposite side of the couch "Although of course it's only Everose right now, technically-".
"-And the resistance plus that old fucking woman," I add to her. She rolls her eyes and sighs in annoyance, "nobody asked for your addition, sis." She looks at me briefly with an angry look.
"Ladies." Storm says quickly before I can snap back at Donna. Donna sighs again, but nods to Storm. "To finish my comment," she continues her story "I really don't understand how they haven't figured it out yet."
A laugh automatically comes out of my throat "because I send them in the wrong direction every time". Storm looks in my direction and throws her hair over her shoulder "I hope you can last a lot longer" she says and takes the last sip of her wine "this is the only way to stop their plans after Alex is going to fake her death, I don't feel like fighting that annoying sister of hers."
"Ahw, that's cute." The three of us look at the door, where Alex is leaning against the door frame and looking at Storm with her bright red eyes. Her hair falls slightly forward over her shoulder. "Are you afraid that Rose is stronger than you-". "-No, I'm not" Storm immediately interrupts her "she can hardly be stronger than me".
