Evara 's pov
I am literally pissed off right now god......
He is just so irritating.
I forgot to mention that it’s only my fifth day of college, and I’ve already been appointed cultural captain due to my great taste in music and art.
While many students are jealous of my position, I honestly don’t care. I’m here to make the most of my college experience.
Our college is organising a fest in order to welcome the new students, and as the cultural captain, I was tasked with overseeing the preparations.
I was peacefully doing my job and after completing that while I was heading towards my class I heard someone one saying.
"Listen betaa !!"(listen child)a teacher said with a bold voice .
"Could you please check the preparation of the swimming pool for the swimming competition?"she asked me
Without a second thought I agreed as I don't want any complains this time
I simply noded with a gentle smile .
As I headed toward the pool area ,I overheard some students discussing how terrible their seniors were and sharing stories about ragging.
As I entered the room I saw bunch of students who were smoking and vaping
I was minding my very own business but the atmosphere shifted when the seniors noticed me
"Ooo..Yeh to Hamari new cultural capital hai na"(she is are new cultural captain right )one of them sneered, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Kya bachii bahut busy hai?" (Is this child really busy ?)again someone said
"Too busy planning your little fest to notice us?” a boy said while heading towards me.
I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore them, but they weren’t done.
God, what is this?" I thought, recalling the chaos of my mornings, first mom and her taunts and then that Mrs arrogant jerk that nerdy bear and now these.... Uhhgggg
"Hey, if you’re so talented, why don’t you show us what you’ve got?” that senior taunted, stepping even closer.
"Jump into the pool and impress us!”they exclaimed
"Main tumko entertain ya impress karne nahi aayi Ho Main Yahan Apna Kam Karne Aayi Hoon" ( I am not here to impress or entertain you i am here do my work )
I tried giving bold answer and stay confident.
I crossed my arms defiantly. “I’m not going to be baited into your childish games. I’m here to oversee the preparations, not to entertain you.”
"Main To Dar Gaya"(I got scared)a boy taunted.
"Is the kidoo scared of water or something?"the one who was closer to me said
Though it's true that I don't know how to swim but I still try to stay strong and kept ignoring them.
"Bacchi ko Dar Lagne Laga"(child is scared or what)
“Or are you afraid of the water?” they said in a very sarcastic toneMy heart raced as I realized they were serious. I had heard tales of seniors pulling stunts like this, but I never thought it would happen to me.
I decided to give them bold answers, hoping they'd back off.But they didn't. Suddenly out of no were one of them pushed me into the pool, and I struggled to stay afloat.
As I plunged into the cold water, panic surged through me. I flailed my arms instinctively, trying to find my footing, but the water was deeper than I had anticipated
I could hear their laughter echoing above me, a cruel reminder of my vulnerability.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. I remembered my cousins words: "Evara, just float! You can do this!" I focused on that advice, trying to stay afloat, but the water felt heavy around me.
But eventually I started sinking in the cool water..
Hope you guys liked it !!
By the way I was not able to get a pic related so I use this instead
Lots of love ❤❤
