"kacchan!!"
the small, 5 year old, skinny boned izuku yelled, chasing katsuki around the forest.

"slow down kacchan! you're running too fast!!
izuku takes a deep huff, tripping over the sticks and leaves, scuffing up his obnoxiously big, red shoes.

but he doesn't stop, he runs faster, laughing mockingly at the much slower freckled boy.
"hurry up izuku!! im not gonna wait for you to catch up to me, you know!"

this upset the green headed boy, making him determined to catch up to his friend, whether it means tripping over a hundred times.

katsuki comes to a holt, jolting izuku in the stomach, making him fall backwards rubbing his head
"owch!! what was that fo-"

"be quiet izuku!!.."
katsuki looks up at the sky, izuku intriguingly scans his eyes up to where katsuki is looking.

he whispers out, trying to be as quiet as possible
"what are we looking at kacchan?"

"look.."
katsuki points up to the sky, the once white refreshed clouds, now grey and miserable

"i don't understand kacchan.. its a cloud?"
izuku tilts his head to the side, confused at what katsuki was getting at.

"tch, obviously stupid izuku!! its going to rain!"
katsuki scoffs and furrows his eyebrows at the smaller male, helping him up from the ground.

"so? its just some rain kacchan! don't worry!"

katsuki angrily yells out, stuttering on his words to quickly defend himself.

"i-im not worried!! i just don't want you to get wet and snitch to auntie that i brought you out here! then i'll get in trouble."

he quickly switches back to his usual proud, obnoxious demeanour.

"im not a snitch.."
izuku rubs his head kicking a rock on the ground beneath him

katsuki rolls his eyes and grabs izuku's hand, running back out of the forest with him, across the lake and back to the spot where his and izuku's mothers were waiting.

"thank you for meeting us today inko, its nice getting the brat out of my hair every once a while."
mitsuki flicks katsuki's forehead, earning a stuck out tongue from him

"its my pleasure mitsuki, you know izuku always loves his playdates with katsuki! he's all my baby ever talks about."
inko innocently rubs izuku's hair, making him flush red with embarrassment, katsuki slightly chuckling at the scene

inko and mitsuki say their goodbyes, which felt slightly too emotional for a simple bye, while izuku and katsuki said theirs, happily walking home.

as soon as izuku walks through the door, he jumps on the couch, giggling to his mother about how much fun he had playing with katsuki, inko smiles sadly.

"a-and then we played over at the lake an-"
izuku jumps up excitedly, not expecting to be cut off by his mother so quickly

"izuku, baby.."
izuku looks up to his mother, seeing the sad, almost guilty look on her face. this instantly made izuku worry

"we're moving... we won't be near katsuki or mitsuki anymore."

izuku's heart dropped.

"what? w-why? where are we moving! why are we moving?"

izuku felt his eyes start to water already, the thought of leaving his school was one thing, the thought of leaving katsuki was a whole different situation.

"well.. mommy got offered a job a couple of citys over, but that means we have to move, which means we cant see katsuki anymore."

izuku's eyes started flooding with tears, he couldn't believe a single word he was hearing.
he didn't want to believe it.
he refused to go.

"mommy why! i don't w-want to! you can't make me!!"

inko looked at him sympathetically, her eyes swelling with water aswell.

"im sorry izuku"
she hugs onto him as izuku angrily cried into his mothers embrace.

2 weeks remaining.

that was it. 2 weeks left for katsuki and izuku.
and then it was over.
no more playdates.
no more jokes.
no more morning runs through the forest.
no more sleepovers.

it was all too much for izuku to handle. all he wanted was to crawl into bed and wake up, everything being some type of nightmare.
but it wasn't.

1 week remaining.

katsuki found out about izuku moving.
he hasn't left his room in ages, mitsuki and inko arranged for them to see eachother one last time before izuku had to move away.

1 day remaining

"you can't leave! if y-you leave how will we stay bestfriends?"
katsuki sniffled against his palm, soaking up his salty tears, trying to stay stronger then he was really feeling.

"i-i don't know kacchan.. my mom didn't tell me!"
izuku on the otherhand, was not holding his tears. his eyes were puffy and swollen. his nose running and his words spluttered.

"izuku, darling.. its time to go. we've been here for 3 hours. we need to go home and grab our bags. the moving van will be here soon."

izuku felt his world crumble.
he held onto katsuki's hand, giving him a green bracelet, the initial, "D.M"

"h-here its so you can remember me kacchan!"
he sniffled against his words

"i have one too..!"
he pulled out his wrist, an orange bracelet, the initials "K.B"

"izuku.. your name doesn't even start with a D.."
katsuki chuckled against his tears, wiping his face

"y-yeah but i couldn't find an I.."
izuku giggled aswell, trying to forget the fact this was the last time he'll see his beloved friend

"deku.."
katsuki blurted out, scanning around the bracelet.

he sniffles and giggles at the nickname
"thats mean kacchan.."
izuku tilted his head, hugging katsuki one more time before his mother takes a hold of his hand

"i'll see you soon kacchan.."
he looks down, salty tears still running down izuku's cheeks

"yeah whatever.. i'll see you soon deku.."

katsuki sniffles and runs over to his mom, looking back at izuku quickly before getting inside his car.

izuku looks back at his house one more time, and then the van which was holding everything he ever loved.
but one thing was missing
katsuki.

he hesitated before getting inside the car with his mom, the car starting and joyful music playing.
izuku loved music.
but some reason the music he was hearing no longer sounded joyful to him.
and the sweet melody only sounded bitter.

"turn it off please.."

izuku didn't look up from his seat, but he knew his mom felt terribly sorry for izuku when he almost instantly heard the music click off.

his tears were never ending.
infact, he didn't feel himself stop until his eyelids were heavy and they still had a couple more hours of driving to go.

he let himself doze off, his vision blurring almost completely before absolute darkness.

it was peaceful.
at moments like this he wishes he could sleep forever without the trouble of bad things happening when he awakens.
maybe in his dreams he'll still be playing stupid superhero games with katsuki.

maybe in his dreams he never would've left at all.
