izuku looks up at katsuki, his eyes slightly tearing up from not only happiness, but from the shock that his childhood bestfriend from over 10 years ago was standing infront of him right this second.

"kacchan, is it really you?"
izuku wiped his eyes, almost not believing the person infront of him was really who he hoped it was.

"of course its me, dipshit.. who else would i be!"
katsuki smirks, looking down at his lost, now returned bestfriend.

"wait, wait, wait a second.. bakugo you know izuku?"
uraraka walks forward from the crowd, smiling gently at the two of them.

"yeah kacchan is my-"
katsuki takes his hand and shoves it over izuku's mouth.

"he's my friend from when we were brats."
izuku huffs and pouts at katsuki, making him mockingly roll his eyes.

mina speaks up from the class
"thats so cool!! what was baby bakugo like, izuku?? was he spoilt and mean?"
she dramatically gasps

"did he bully you!! bakugo how could you-"
kirishima nudges mina's shoulder, making her do a zip motion with her hand against her lips.

"well uh! no- no, no kacchan never bullied m-"
izuku starts talking, instantly getting cut off again.

"kacchan? what's with the name?"
denki pokes his head around izuku, almost inspecting him, making izuku slightly shudder from being so crowded.

"uh.. i guess its just a childhood name.."

izuku turns his head to katsuki, who is looking away, not participating in the conversation.

"but that doesn't matter now, its the past!"
izuku takes his assigned seat behind katsuki, the class now listening to what their sensei has to tell them.

izuku can't help but take glances over at katsuki every once in a while. katsuki himself glancing back too. their eyes accidentally locking, them both instantly looking away.

izuku walks in a group with ochako, tenya, shoto and tsu, sitting on a nearby bench, just them trying to get to know izuku.

"oi, nerd."
izuku knew that voice from anywhere.

he quickly perked his head around to see katsuki, hands in pockets, kirishima, denki, sero and mina all happily bouncing behind him.

"ah..? kacchan!"
izuku smiles widely at katsuki, making him almost feel enticed to smile back.

"izuku-chan!!"
mina speaks up, the others, excluding bakugo, speaking in unison.

izuku glances at his group, them nodding at him before turning back to chattering.

"ah?.. min-.. mina-san..?"
izuku flushes at all of the attention on him again. still confused on why katsuki hasn't been speaking to him much.

bakugo's friends bother izuku for a while more before they all get bored and decide to leave. izuku sits on a soft grass patch, reading his favourite All Might comic book.

"still a nerd huh.."
izuku looks up smiling

"kacchan! its nice to talk to you without being.. well, hoarded.. i suppose"
katsuki snorts and sits down next to him

"you mean its nice to talk to me without a bunch of idiots in ya face? yeah i know."
katsuki leans against a brick wall, peering over to izuku's comic.

"seriously? All Might..?"
katsuki raises an eyebrow, scoffing at the irony of it all.

"w-well, yeah.."
izuku looks away shyly. why is it so awkward? theres so much to talk about. like, maybe the fact izuku left for almost 13 years and then randomly showed up to his childhood best-friends school without a word.
