(Early morning in the hospital)

The room was quiet, except for the soft hum of medical equipment.

Porchay sat beside Uea, holding his hand gently as he slept, his face showing the toll of sleepless nights spent worrying.

On the other side of the room, Kim lay on the couch, his body hunched over as exhaustion overtook him.

Both of them had not slept well in days, their concern for Uea consuming their every waking moment.

As the first rays of morning light seeped through the hospital blinds, Uea slowly began to stir. His eyelids fluttered, and his breathing quickened as consciousness returned.

He blinked, trying to adjust to the sterile brightness of the room. His mind felt foggy, and he struggled to comprehend where he was.

He felt a weight on his hand, something warm and soft. With effort, he lifted his head slightly, eyes locking onto a figure... a middle-aged man, unfamiliar and asleep, holding his hand tightly.

Uea's mind raced.

"Who is this? Why is he holding my hand? Where am I?"

Uea looked around, his surroundings slowly coming into focus. The white walls, the beeping machines, the IV drip attached to his arm.

Panic surged within him, a terrifying sense of familiarity creeping in.

The sterile environment reminded him of that horrible place... the basement, the torture, the needles, and the pain.

Memories of the kidnapping and the days of hell flashed violently in his mind. The injections, the restraints, the abuse.

His chest tightened, and his breath hitched as fear took over. He yanked his hand away from the stranger's grip, his heart pounding in his ears.

The sudden movement startled Porchay awake. His eyes shot open, and when he saw Uea awake, his face lit up with pure relief.

"Uea! You're awake!" Porchay exclaimed, sitting up and moving closer. "I'm so happy! I'm..."

Before Porchay could finish his sentence, Uea interrupted him.

"Go away..." Uea's voice was low, trembling. His eyes filled with tears, and his body began to shake.

He pulled the blanket up to his chest, clutching it tightly as though it could shield him from the terrifying world around him.

Porchay's face fell, confusion and concern flooding his expression. "Baby, you don't need to be scared. I'm your mom, remember? You're safe here." He reached out, trying to comfort Uea.

But Uea recoiled, terror evident in his wide eyes. "Go away from me!" he shouted, his voice cracking with fear. "Please... stop it. Leave me alone... please..."

His tears fell freely now, and his entire body shook with fear. Exhaustion and trauma weighed heavily on him, but his desperate need to protect himself overpowered the physical weakness.

He pressed himself further into the bed, curling into a defensive ball, as if trying to make himself as small as possible.

The sudden screaming startled Kim awake. He jumped up from the couch, heart racing as he turned to see his son. "Sand..." Kim breathed, a mixture of relief and worry washing over him.

Kim quickly moved to Uea's side, but as soon as Uea saw him, his reaction was immediate.

"Don't!.. Please!" Uea screamed, his voice filled with panic and fear.

Kim stopped in his tracks, his heart breaking as he saw the sheer terror in Uea's eyes.

He reached out, trying to soothe his son, but Uea flinched violently, knocking the blanket, pillows, and medical equipment off the bed in his frenzy.
