Y/n's pov;
"So, why are we outside in the middle of a stadium?" I asked with my arms around Rock and Uno.
"We have a special event today that everyone has to be here for." Hajime said.
I sighed. "This is bullshit." I mumbled.
"What was that?" Hajime asked.
"Nothing, I'm just talking to myself." I said. I see the warden of Nanba come out and stand at a post. "Woah," I never expected that to be the warden.
"Greetings and a happy new year's, too, each of you." The warden said.
"Well, this is sure a large venue." Jyugo said.
"Feels like a party." Nico said.
"No one told me the warden was a woman!" Uno yelled right by my ear. I flinched from the loudness.
"She's beautiful," Rock said.
"Here at Nanba prison, we have a long-standing tradition. A unique way of celebrating this holiday. Our new year's tournament will now begin." She said.
"Wait, what kind of tournament?" Jyugo asked. The warden threw down a sign before someone came beside her.
A dark tone guy with white and pink hair came out from behind the warden and stood beside her."I will now announce the participants, selected to represent each building.".
"Who does he mean by participants?" Jyugo asked.
"The New Year's tournament is a event, in which inmates and officers from each building are formed into teams." Hajime replied.
"Each member of the team that manages to win this tournament will be awarded with a prize." Seitarou said.
"And us guards are rewarded with a pay bonus. As each inmate will be able to select any prize of their choosing." Yamato said.
My cellmates gasped and ran towards Hajime, leaving me to keep my own balance on one leg. Someone grabbed my arm and put it around their shoulder. I turn my head to Seitarou there.
"That was close. Are you okay?" Seitarou asked.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Thank you for that." I said. I turn my head back to my cellmates, getting in Hajime's face.
"Hajime, you gotta let us join, bro!" My cellmates shouted.
Hajime looked over at Yamato. "Damnit, Yamato, why did you have to go and tell them!".
"Um, I should mention that. It's the Warden that gets to choose the participants." Seitarou said. We look back to the announcements.
"Representing Building 13, we have Cell 13." The announcer said.
"How's that fair!!" Hajime and Seitarou yelled.
"Oh joy," I say sarcastically. Everyone looks at me. "What?".
Yamato cleared his throat. "Let's go find our seats until the tournament starts.".
