Chapter 3

The male and female wake up early in the morning and stretch and yawn widely. The dragons thought it was nice to sleep in the forest. The two dragons get up and continue to explore the forest that is around them.

Soon they find the cave where Hasse found the eggs from which they hatched. Both dragons can see and smell the scent of their two parents even though it was long since they died. They look at the two skeletons curiously but finally enter the cave. The two dragons explore their new home carefully, memorizing the cave's entrances and exits. There is only one entrance and exit.

Both dragons have grown in record numbers during the evening and night and are now fully grown. The female has become a dragon queen and she has already started producing eggs in her ovaries.

The dragon queen thinks this cave is perfect. She has already found a favorite spot in the cave. It is far in on the right side. Here she will have all the nests and see when the eggs hatch.

As of this day, the Dragon Queen's week will look like this.

Day 1: Mating

Day 2: Lay eggs

Day 3: Take care of newly hatched chicks for a while + Mating

Day 4: Lay eggs

Day 5: Take care of newly hatched chicks for a while + Mating

Day 6: Lay eggs

Day 7: Take care of newly hatched chicks for a while + Mating

Next week the same and the next and the next. As long as she gets enough nourishment, it will continue forever.

The dragon queen will lay 70 to 75 eggs each time. It is of course uncertain whether all will hatch but there are many eggs that she will lay in just one week. And the cubs will, like them, grow at record speed and leave the cave after only a few days.

Once the dragon queen is satisfied with the cave, she calls the male to her with a small noise. She wants to mate right away. The male is willing and they mate.

After a while the eggs that have already formed start moving towards her anus but they don't come out today. The shells are not hard enough yet. But lime is constantly forming from the nutrition and during the day the shells become rock hard. Many more eggs will be formed during the day. So far, only around 40 eggs have been fertilized.

After mating, they start feeling very hungry and look for food to fill their bellies. They find no food near the forest and soon they fly around looking for something suitable to eat. To avoid quarrels when they find food, they fly in different directions. Actually, dragon queens usually let the male fix food right after mating, but she is curious about what the area looks like so she looks for the prey herself. This is the first and last time she will do that.

It doesn't take long until the male finds two prey. It is a couple consisting of a man and a woman walking on a long and very narrow path. They have picked mushrooms in the forest and have a small basket with them.

The dragon lands in front of the couple and then the dragon dives down with its head and catches the man. The dragon closes its large jaw around the man's head and tilts its head back so that the man can more easily reach further down into the dragon's jaw where the throat is. The man becomes completely drenched and slimy from the dragon's abundant saliva, which covers the entire tongue and which begins to flow in large quantities from the teeth. The dragon's breath is pleasantly warm and doesn't smell particularly bad.

The dragon's long tongue pulls the man further into the dragon's jaw and the throat opens and the dragon swallows the man whole alive. The strong neck muscles bring him down and there is not much chance to stop it all. The surface of the dragon's throat is slippery with all the saliva and there is nothing the man can hold onto to prevent the downward movement.
