For some unknown reason, Xiao Zhan was irritated, the thought of Chen Xu or anyone else claiming him made him upset. He did not feel right, he was already taken and in his heart he knew that. Whenever he saw couples together, he had always felt empty in his heart as if he was missing someone so dear to him. He could not understand what was wrong with him and why he felt like he belonged to someone. Every time girls approached him, he would reject them because it felt wrong to entertain them.

He sighed as he got in his car, “Drive.” He told his driver before leaning back in his chair and shut his eyes.

“Wei Ying, come to Gusu with me.”

The man in black scoffed at the invitation, his red ribbon swayed calmly with the wind and his gaze focused on the flute in his hand as he played with it.

“Gusu? With your 3000 rules, Lan Zhan, do you want me to die of boredom? You know that I don’t like rules so why should I go there? I will return to Yunmeng.” The man spoke arrogantly but his silver eyes showed regret and hurt.

Unknown to him, he was not the only one who was in pain. The man in  front of him was hurting too, his hold on his sword tightened and his gaze shifted to the ground. One was clad in black, the other in white, while one carried a sword, the other held a flute. One had a red ribbon tied in his hair, the other had a light blue forehead ribbon on which had a cloud pattern in the middle. One had silver eyes, the other had gold ones. One cultivated light energy (Yang) and the other cultivated dark energy (Yin). They were both so different yet the same, one would think they did not belong together yet Fate kept making their paths cross.

Due to the lack of communication between them, they always seem to misunderstand each other every time they meet. Every time they would meet, it seem to always end up in a misunderstanding. Both of them were hurting each other without even realizing it.

Finally, the man in black got fed up with the one in white. “ Lan Wangji, Lan Wangji, who do you take me for? Can’t you stay out of my business?” Wei Wuxian had let out a mirthless laugh.

Lan Wangji looked at him then, “Who do you take me for?” He asked instead.
Wei Wuxian’s eyes dimmed with sadness and unshed tears.

“I once saw you as my soulmate.” He replied quietly but the other still heard him.

“I still am.”  Came a firm reply shocking the other. The two men got lost staring into each other’s eyes.

Xiao Zhan gasped as he sat up straight, he was sweating and his heart rate had increased. He could not believe what he had just seen, finally, it all made sense to him. He saw the look in the two men’s eyes, as much as everyone around them were so convinced that they hated each other and it appeared that way whenever they met, Xiao Zhan knew these two were in love with each other. One of them had figured out his feelings but was not brave enough to confess, it did not help that he was not much of a talker either. The other was oblivious to his own feelings which led to the misconception that the Ice Prince hated him.

The two of you led a life full of pain. Lan Wangji was grounded by his 3000 Sect rules and Wei Wuxian was oblivious to matters of the heart. Due to this misunderstanding, Wei Wuxian died thinking the man he considered his confidant hated him and Lan Wangji had to watch his soulmate die right in front of his eye and he could never tell him how he truly felt. Your story is truly heartbreaking but I wonder why I keep having these dreams? These two are from an ancient timeline. How are they connected to me?’ The idol thought restlessly.

Xiao Zhan became the most sort after idol in Asia, brands wanted to make him their ambassador, magazine companies wanted him to be their face and the fashion industry wanted him as a show stopper for their fashion shows. His schedule was packed and the man did not mind because being busy kept his mind off the dreams that keep bothering him. However, recently the dreams have been getting more frequent and more vivid. He still could not see the faces clearly however, they were not as hazy anymore. Xiao Zhan also noticed that when he visited certain places, the dreams appear as if they’re his memories, he wondered if it was really the case and if so why does he have memories of a past life haunting him? What did it all mean exactly?  Instead of trying to force his mind to remember, he decided to let things happen naturally.
