Wei Wuxian woke up feeling refreshed and happy, he smiled and stretched. He knew that his Lan Zhan is not around, he had woken up an hour ago and has already gone out to get some food. ‘Right, I can’t reveal myself to anyone. I need to hide my face until I clear my name or else I will put Lan Zhan and his sect in danger.’

He sat up with a cute pout on his lips and a hand on his nose as he stroked it gently. He decided to take a stroll outside while he was thinking, luckily, Lan Wangji lived far from the other quarters so no one will be able to notice him. As he was lost in thought while strolling around, he stumbled upon the back hills where Lan Wangji kept his rabbits hidden.

“Eh?” Wei Wuxian frowned when he felt something nibbling at his robes, he looked down and was stunned by the sight of a pure white rabbit eating his robes. He looked around and gape in shock, the entire area was filled rabbits. Most of them white and a few black ones.

“Ah! Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, when I gave you those two bunnies years ago, you refused to accept them claiming you didn’t like them and now you have an entire field full of them.” He chuckled softly before bending down and scooped the culprit that was nibbling at his robes. “Eh, little rabbit, eating my robes, are you?” He patted the little fur ball and let out a small laugh.

Meanwhile, Hanguang Jun returned from the kitchen with a tray of food to find his soulmate no where in sight. His heart stopped and he felt like he could not breathe. He almost lost his balance but was caught by a pair of hands.

“Hanguang Jun!” Sizhui exclaimed in shock. He quickly took the tray from his father’s trembling hands and placed it carefully on the table before turning back to the man. “A’Die (father), are you alright? Should I call Zewu Jun (Lan Xichen)? You look sickly.”

Lan Wangji looked around the room frantically, he even searched the bathroom but still nothing. Lan Sizhui was worried and confused at the same time. He was just about to ask what the matter was when his father opened his mouth and said something that shocked him to the core. “Wei Ying. Where did you go?”

“Baba?” Lan Sizhui muttered in disbelief. He watched as his father took the crumbled sheets in his hands and sniffed them. “A’Die?” Sizhui frowned as he saw a stray tear escape the man’s eyes.

“Sizhui, come.” Lan Wangji called in a small voice, the boy stepped forward in confusion. “Inhale them. Is Wei Ying’s lotus scent is here? Wangji is not hallucinating?”

Not wanting to hurt his father more, he took the sheets in his hand and inhaled, his eyes widen in shock when he detected another scent on them. It was a scent he knew all too well, ever since he was young he loved the scent of lotuses because it made him feel like home. He could not remember clearly where he had smelt it before but every time he inhaled it, he would always see a hazy image of a tall man clad in black and red robes. He had a red ribbon tied on his hair and was always twirling a flute around his fingers.

“A’Die, there is a strong scent of lotuses here. Please calm down, you are not imaging things, Baba was here, we just need to find him. Oh right, you once mentioned that Baba always hated sitting still or being cooped up in one place, right? Maybe he went out for some air... “ Before the boy could finish talking, his father was already out the door in a flash.

Lan Sizhui was so stunned, he stood frozen for a moment before following his father out. They searched all around the Jingshi before heading over to where the bunnies were. “Wei Ying!” Lan Zhan called out desperately.

The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation  whipped around just in time before he was pulled into a hard chest. Strong arms wrapped around him tightly, he felt something wet on his neck and tried to pull back but the latter refused to let him go. His entire body was already trembling with fear and Wei Ying felt guilty for leaving the room without leaving some sort of message. He sighed as he hugged his soulmate tightly and hummed ‘WangXian’ to him.

“Wei Ying.”  Lan Wangji murmured brokenly.

Wei Ying’s eyes filled with unshed tears, “I’m here, Lan Zhan.”

The latter tightened his hold on the man and attempted to pull him even closer. Sizhui stood rooted in his spot staring at the two in shock. He was stunned when he saw the man whom everyone in the cultivation world feared except his father. The man who parents scared their children with, the man who is rumoured to be vile and heartless. The man most claimed was ugly and unsightly but none of those things seem to be true as he stared at the man who held his father in his arms like he’s the most precious thing. The man who was standing in front of Lan Sizhui looked like a celestial being, he had the most breath-taking smile the boy had ever seen matched with the brightest silver eyes.

Hanguang Jun always told him that Wei Wuxian had the most beautiful smile and the most precious eyes he had ever seen and Lan Sizhui could now fully understand what his father had truly meant. Wei Wuxian, the Grandmaster of Demonic cultivation, Yiling Laozu is the most handsome man Lan Sizhui has ever seen apart from his father...

“Lan Zhan, I won’t leave again, please don’t cry.”

“Wei Ying said that last night. Wei Ying still left.”

Wei Wuxian smiled at the man’s argument. “Ok, ok, I won’t leave without telling you the next time, alright?”

“No.”

“Ah?”

“Wei Ying must not leave without Wangji ever.”

Now the Yiling Laozu was stunned for a moment, he sighed and pulled his lover away from the hug so he could look at him. He wiped the man’s tears away smiling at the little pout he had on. Lan Wangji looked cute especially since his cheeks still had some baby fat on them so he was extra adorable when he pouted.

“Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, don’t pout, you look so cute when you pout.” He teased.

“Not cute.”

“Definitely cute. I could just squish your cheeks.”

The ice Prince glared but there was no anger in those gold eyes. “Wangji is not cute. Wei Ying is changing the subject.” He pointed out blankly.

The younger sighed in defeat and his gaze softened. “Ok. I, Wei Ying courtesy name Wei Wuxian promise to never leave without my soulmate Lan Zhan courtesy name Lan Wangji. No matter where I will go, I will have him by my side till the end of our time.” He took an oath with three fingers raised and a hand on his heart.

A bright light glowed surrounding the couple, Lan Sizhui had to block his eyes from it so did Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji. The two men felt pain on their wrists, soon the light disappeared and the couple raised their wrists to see what was happening. “Ah?”  Wei Wuxian did not know whether to laugh or cry when he saw what was on his wrist. He looked up at Lan Wangji to figure out what just happened but the man was too busy staring at his own wrist and he was... Smiling?

“Eh, Lan Zhan, what is this? Why do I have a cloud tattoo with your name on it on my wrist? “ the boy frowned confused.

Lan Wangji’s eyes brightened at his words, he quickly grabbed Wei Wuxian’s wrist to inspect it. His heart thumped against his chest and his ears turned a bright red as he traced the mark on his lover’s wrist. It was so beautiful ‘Lan  Zhan’ was written in perfect calligraphy beneath the cloud pattern and his tittle was written above it. Now everyone will know that Wei Ying belongs to him and he belongs to Wei Ying.

“Lan Zhan, tell me!” The man whined when his lover continued to admire his wrist without a word.

Lan Wangji kissed the mark softly then looked up at his soulmate. “This is a soulmate mark. It appears when two soulmates are closer to completing their bond.”

“Oh right, I remember that the Gusu Lan Sect has books about soulmates. Since a Lan only loves once, the Gusu Lan Sect believes in finding one’s true soulmate but since it has been centuries since anyone had found their true soulmate, the concept has been forgotten over time.”

“Mn.”

Wei Ying grinned, he took Lan Zhan’s hand to examine his mark. “Ah? Why is it a black bunny? Shouldn’t it be a Lotus since I am from the Jiang Sect?”

“The mark only shows the symbol of the place or moment that a person feels content with. Wei Ying got Wangji bunnies years ago, one white and one black. Wei must have been more content while getting those bunnies.” Lan Wangji explained.

“I was happy then. I did not understand why but the thought of getting you a gift always made me feel content. Knowing you will have the bunnies to keep you company while I’m gone made me less worried about you.”
