Visiting the main house isn't something I'd do often. My grandparents live here, and I am in fact, very close to them. I sometimes would visit just to check up on them and to catch up. But the real reason why I often visit our main house was because of him.
"Kabocha, come here." I greeted him. I lowered my body and kneeled down and extended my hand to greet him.
He looked my way but remained lying down on our front porch where he would usually be found napping.
"That's right... I'm sure you're tired buddy." I made the effort to close the distance by going to him and sitting down next to him.
I began to give him attention by rubbing his body and patting him on the head.
"How've you been doing? Are you keeping grandpa and grandma company here?" I asked him.
He purrs and meows softly. It's as if he understands what I'm saying.
"I'm sure you do." I rubbed his chin and his tail started swaying slowly from left to right.
I take out a pouch of cat treats from the plastic bag I brought with me. Kabocha's eyes immediately looked their way.
"You hungry bud?" I wasted no time and opened the treats and fed it to Kabocha.
"You really do like these treats huh? Although I gotta admit... They're getting a little difficult to find lately. I had these specially ordered, you know that?" I spoke to him as I slowly fed him the treats, caressing his body slowly and softly.
"Mom would often feed you these treats on this porch.... Maybe that's why you're always here. Mom liked this spot and would stay here every morning to feed you and the koi fishes on the pond over there." I looked over the pond and began reminiscing about the past.
I remember the time when my mom taught me how to feed the fish. At first, we would feed the fish together. But as the years went by, my mother's body grew weaker, so she stuck with me by watching me feed the fish while she sat on this porch with Kabocha.
I spent an hour just sitting down and spending time with Kabocha. And I'd do this once or twice a week whenever I have the time. Before leaving the house, I'd say hi to my grandparents and would talk to them for a little while.
I grew up in this house with my parents and sisters, and it's filled with so many memories from my childhood. But every time I visit this house, I always feel a tinge of sadness as soon as I leave.
I said goodbye to my grandparents and Kabocha before heading back to the cafe.

.
."I'm back." I greeted.
I was immediately greeted by my two sisters. Their faces looked rather worried.
"Welcome back, Onii-sama..." Karin came up to me while holding a broom. I guess she was sweeping the floor before I got here. I wonder what's up?
"Why the long face, Karin?" I patted her head.
"Ah, well... Ms. Yukina is here." Karin replied. She seems to be enjoying the headpat.
Both my sisters seem to really like their heads being pat.
"Oh? Where is she?" I looked around the shop and found no trace of Yukina. In fact, we haven't even opened yet.
Wait... How come she's here before we open the shop? And.... How did she get in?
"Ah! Onii-sama! Welcome back!" Ayase ran to me and hugged me.
"Oh, Ayase. You two are up early." I patted her head as well.
"So, where is Yukina?" I asked the two.
Karin looked at Ayase. She was clearly telling her to properly explain what happened.
"You see Dear Onii-sama.... While I was sweeping the front of the shop, I came across Yukina-san. And things led to one another and...."
Ayase thoroughly explained to me what happened.
"Oh, she's here for those two. Quite early, but I guess that's fine. I should join her. Ah, but I need to take out the trash and prepare the ingredients...." I made my way past the two, but they both pulled on my arm.
"We've already taken care of that Onii-sama! Please, join Ms. Yukina upstairs!" Ayase told me.
Wow, they've done my share of the opening chores.... But I guess that's fine.
"Thanks you two. I'll be back as soon as I'm done. For now, please take care of opening the shop then." I replied. I made my way upstairs to where our living quarters are.
"Ayase...you...forgot to mention....that..." Karin said as she watches me walk up the stairs.
"How was I supposed to explain something like that...." Ayase replied.

."Yukina? My sisters told me that you came to visit the cats-"
What I saw wasn't something I thought I'd ever see. Well, at least not for a while.
Minato Yukina, is sleeping on our living room couch.
"What in the...." The two cats are sleeping on her lap.
Let me think.... She must've been playing with the cats. And when they got tired, they slept on her lap. And she probably couldn't bring herself to stand up because she'd wake them up.
Yeah, that sounds plausible. I'd probably be in the same situation if I was in her shoes.
"Gosh..." I went to my room to get a small blanket.
Since the cats are on her lap, I can't exactly cover her entire body with a blanket, so I got a half sized one.
As I got close to her, I realized just how difficult this situation is for me.
*gulp* You're just gonna put it over her...
I got close and placed the blanket on her torso. I made sure not to move her too much to wake the cats or herself.
This is the first time I got close to Yukina... And now that I'm this close.... I just now realized how beautiful Minato Yukina is.
Her long eyelashes... Her long hair... And... She even smells good. What am I doing?
.
.
."Anon? What are you doing?"
