Gypsy and Jacob were sitting at the table, Jacob had been noticing Gypsy was hesitant on eating his dinner...he had been...staring at it...
"Everything okay? You've been poking your food with your fork" Jacob asked. Gypsy looked at Jacob,
"Just..zoning out..." Gypsy said.
"Okay, buddy.". Gypsy stopped hesitating and just ate. Jacob sighs,
"Do you remember the last time we did something fun?" Jacob asked.
"Mom was alive..." Gypsy said.
"....she was...", Gypsy sighs,
"I wish she was still here...cause you to struggle taking care of me ... .especially now because of how sick I am...at least if mom was still here, she'd be able to help". Jacob nods,
"She would,". Jacob looks at Gypsy.
"Hear me out, since you're always stuck in this house, or in the hospital, why don't I bring you to the movies tomorrow". Gypsy looked up at Jacob, Smiling softly.
"Yeah, we haven't been to the movies in a while",
"Cool, I'll let you pick what we can see, it can even be R rated.", Gypsy nods. This was perfect, Jacob could finally have quality time with Gypsy.
The next morning, Gypsy was getting ready, Suddenly Jacob calls for him,
"Gyps! Come on buddy!", Gypsy sighs,
"One more minute", Jacob smiles rolling his eyes,
"I'll be waiting outside for you". Jacob grabs his car keys and walks outside. Jacob leans on his car waiting for Gypsy.
Before you can say knife, Gypsy came outside, He looked next door, Elliott was outside smoking. Gypsy wanted to say Hi to Elliott, But he didn't think Elliott would notice him. Suddenly Elliott notices Gypsy staring and Waves,
"Hi, Gypsy!" He shouts. Gypsy smiles and waves back,
"Hi, Elliott!".
"Gyps," Jacob says. Gypsy looks at Jacob, Jacob clearly didn't seem okay with Gypsy saying hi to Elliott. Gypsy then goes over to Jacob, Jacob helps Gypsy get in the car. Jacob then gets in the front seat and begins driving. Once they arrive, after a few minutes, Gypsy looks at Jacob,
"I need to go to the bathroom" He whispers,
"Alright hold on" Jacob whispers,
"No, I can go on my own now, I'm 15, I'm old enough",
"Okay". Moments later Jacob became concerned Gypsy wasn't returning. The movie ends, and Jacob leaves and goes into the boys' bathroom.
"Gypsy, Bud. Are you here?". No response. He then got full of panic, Jacob ran outside, he was worried about what may have happened to his younger brother, He did not wanna break the promise he made. Not today, not now, not ever. Jacob ran into the pharmacy across the street.
"GYPSY!". Gypsy stared at the floor, tears dripping onto his shoe. Jacob walks over, "Gypsy...buddy...hey it's okay I'm here, It's okay," Jacob said, kneeling down, putting his hand on Gypsy's cheek. Gypsy looked at Jacob.
"Oh my god Gyps...you're crying...and panicking...oh god..". Jacob looked at Dr. Sherman, "WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM?!?!".
"I...I um.." They stammered, They had never heard The Eldest Trippson Son shout loudly or be so overprotective. Jacob looked at Gypsy,
"Come on Bud, let's get you home...". Jacob gets up, pushing Gypsy's wheelchair, leaving the pharmacy. Jacob crosses the street, He helps Gypsy get in the car, Jacob then gets in the car, he looks at Gypsy in the rearview mirror.
"You are so lucky we were in public. Because you are in SO MUCH FUCKING TROUBLE" Jacob shouted. Gypsy closed his eyes, tears falling down his face.
"Please stop yelling at me, I'm sorry..." Gypsy says, his voice cracking and shaking a bit.
"Then you need to learn to not lie to people.". Jacob began driving, and Gypsy stared out the window. Jacob was so full of anger, but Jacob wasn't mad at Gypsy for lying. He was mad because Gypsy had worried him so much. But he had also wanted to know...Why the hell was Gypsy at the pharmacy?
