It's been two months since their last meeting. Minji's hair is cut short. Hanni feels Minji is taller than before, though Hanni doesn't know whether it's an illusion or not. Minji is still looking undisciplined and dazzling.
Hanni's heart beats so quickly. She is lacking in self-confidence, like she is doing deeds that trouble her conscience. She is anxious that she doesn't know where to put her hands. After quite some time, she passes the doll back to his hands. "I didn't know it's yours."
Hanni lowers her head and shifts her body because she is embarrassed. She doesn't get Minji's reply, she just points at the box in the rear of the vehicle. She explains seriously, "I came to help my unnie move in. I see that there are things inside this, so I want to help him bring it up." She waits for several seconds, but he still says nothing. She hesitates for a while and adds, "If I had known that the doll is yours, I would not have helped take it."
Minji's brows move. She straightens her back and repeats Hanni's words once more. "If you knew it was me, you wouldn't help bring it up?"
Hanni immediately nods. "Of course I wouldn't."
"You said 'of course I wouldn't'?" Minji says lazily, her tone sounding like she is criticizing Hanni. "Little kid, do you have any kindness in you?"
When Hanni takes it, Minji says that she is a thief. But when she doesn't take it, Minji says that she has no kindness. This woman is too apt to change.
Minji says again, "Do you forget about the time unnie helped you big time?"
Hanni feels unhappy and hums, "I remember."
"Then shouldn't you treat me better?"
Hanni looks at Minji and says nothing.
Minji laughs lightly and doesn't tease Hanni anymore. She passes the doll back. "If you like it, just take it and play with it."
Hanni moves her right hand to take it, but suddenly she remembers what Minji said. She cancels her intention to take it. She doesn't dare to take it.
"You don't want it? Then I'll throw it away."
Hanni finally takes it.
Minji finds this hilarious. "If you want it, just take it. Little kid shouldn't be so difficult."
Hanni is unhappy to hear it. "You said before that I am a little thief.""Unnie is joking with you." Minji takes the books from the trunks and closes the door. "Let's go, let's go up."
Hanni follows Minji and says nothing else.
Minji glances at her phone for a while and asks Hanni, "You're unhappy?"
Hanni keeps being quiet. She says honestly, "This doll is very ugly."
"Ugly?" Minji raises her eyebrows and looks at it, "I think it looks okay."
"Why did you buy this?"
"I didn't buy it," Minji thinks about it and says without care, "I forget where I got it."
Hanni suddenly understands something. She asks, "Unnie, was this from someone?"
"En, I think so."
Hanni has no interest anymore, "Then let me return it to you."
"You don't like it? Then give it to me. I'll take it."
Hanni returns it back.
Minji asks again, "Does your backpack feel heavy?"
"It's okay,"
Minji asks again, "Later on, we will climb five floors. Can you do it?"
"Of course. I am thirteen years old, not three years old." Hanni frowns and feels unsatisfied that Minji is taking care of her like she's a three-year-old kid. "Moreover, if I can't do it, perhaps you want to carry me on your back to go up?"
