Adam woke out of his sleep to watch Jacob sit up and sigh in frustration. He glanced back at him but he must not have seen him looking at him because he buried his hands in his hair and pulled hard.
He laid back down and stared at the ceiling for awhile, then carefully pushed the blanket off of himself so he wouldn't disturb his partner. After five minutes he sighed again and slipped out of bed to pace around their room and look at things.
"Baby," Adam called gently.
Jacob spun and groaned. "I'm so sorry. Go back to sleep, I'm fine."
Adam sat up anyways and shook off his tiredness. "I naturally woke up, don't worry. What's the matter?"
He shrugged miserably and sat back on the bed. "I'm restless. Maybe anxious, I dunno."
"Come snuggle, J," Adam enticed with outstretched hands. "Let me check our page."
Jacob frowned deeply but crawled onto his lap to wrap his arms around him. "I don't want you to see that stuff."
So Adam suspected right. Lately people were extra bored with holidays winding down and work still iffy with the horrible weather, so they'd taken to online trolling. Their page on Facebook especially was a massive flame for the troll moths to harass and torment them. They had Alex to help but ultimately he couldn't be online all the time with his own side job in photography.
Adam sighed and pulled out his phone, then scooted to the edge of the bed to bounce Jacob slightly on his lap. He liked that,
it always helped in a way that surprised Jacob since Adam had started doing it. He let out a sigh of release and rested his head on his shoulder like a sleepy toddler while Adam scrolled through the comments on their latest post first.Immediately he tightened his arms around Jacob and fought back the catty reply, opting to just block them instead. Sometimes he'd troll back just to piss them off and up their engagement but most of the time it wasn't the right thing to do.
As he worked, he turned to kiss Jacob's neck gently. "What does my hubby want to do tomorrow? Or I guess, today?"
Jacob shifted and kissed him back. "Dunno. We need to change the oil in my car. Then we need to return library books and get groceries."
Adam grunted in confirmation. "Wanna get massages?" When Jacob happy wiggled he couldn't help his laughter. "Aw, you're so cute!"
He grumbled but Adam smothered him in kisses until he was giggling and squirming against him. "I'm not cute, I'm a man!"
"Yes, you are!" Adam protested, nosing his way in for another kiss. "Men can be cute!"
Jacob pouted but ran a finger over Adam's cheek curiously. "Daddy?"
"Hm?"
"Why are you so white?" He asked genuinely.
Adam dropped his phone and started belly laughing. "I didn't ask to be born! I don't know!"
"But you're half latino or spaniard or something," He pushed through laughter of his own. "Why are you glow in the dark?"
Adam flipped them and nipped at his neck. "You only called me Daddy to soften the blow!"
He nodded and grabbed his hands to attempt to push him back. "Y-yes. Sometimes I'm curious."
"Curious this!" Adam pinched at a pressure point and Jacob went involuntarily limp.
"Doesn't make sense," Jacob complained. "Daddy, let go."
Adam grinned and kissed over his forehead. "Remember how I told you my eyes didn't get full pigmentation and that's why they're periwinkle?" Jacob shrugged and he laughed at his scatterbrain. "Well it's probably that. I think I was supposed to be albino, but my hair pigment came in just fine having two dark haired parents or something? I keep noticing all over again that I look identical to my dad. People think we're twins cause he doesn't age."
