-Natalie's POV-
Dad and I sat down at the table as he tried to explain to Nick, who, by the way, was not pleased.
"So we went to the storage room in the museum."
"The museum has a storage room?" Nick asked. I rolled my eyes.
"It's where they keep info on all the stuff they have in the museum. It's a big place. So we went there, to check on what they had on the tablet."
"Why did you need to check on the tablet?"
"Because it's corroding. And we found a picture of the guys who discovered Ahk's tomb," I butted in. "And apparently the person who found it fell into it. And he likes search tomatoes." They just stared at me. "Never mind. He fell into it, and there was a picture later on. And he was twelve. And so we asked who he was, and the really rude lady who likes Candy Crush told us he was C. J. Fredericks."
Dad took over the rest of the story. "So I put two and two together. Nick, do you remember Cecil?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Cecil Fredricks. C. J. Fredricks. Get it?"
"No."
"Well, he's the one who discovered the tablet and the tomb. C. J. Cecil. Same last name. Get it yet?"
"Ohhhhh I get it now."
"So we went to see him. He answered my questions, and told us that the locals had said that the end would come. The end of the magic. He also told us-"
"Told him, not me," I mumbled. Dad ignored my grumbling. "I didn't go."
"He told us that Ahkmenrah's parents were in the Britisht Museum. So we're headed there tonight. We need to get the tablet fixed." I thought it was a pretty sad explanation.
"So in other words, you want me to pack, with no warning, and head to London." Nick complained.
"Yup!" I said. Nick glared at me. I smiled annoyingly. "That's what he said."
"Natalie," Dad warned.
"I know, I'll go pack." I headed to my room, shutting the door firmly. I grabbed a small backpack, and began to stuff a change of clothes into it, a book, and a keychain flashlight. I always came prepared.

I looked around. The next morning, we would be driving towards the British museum. Dad didn't want me here, at the museum tonight. I came anyway, tailing him on foot. It wasn't hard, the only person who couldn't do it was Ahk. It would be Dad's hearing that gave Ahk away, it would be like hearing bells the whole time. Jangle jangle jangle jangle jangle jangle. Lol.
Ahk wasn't back from meeting with Dad. Dad was explaining the plan, and I was supposed to stay behind and distract the night guard during the trip. I wasn't really going to do that.
Jangle jangle jangle.
Ahk was back. I slipped behind a pillar, in case Dad was with him. He wasn't. But something about his mood made me pause. He sat down heavily on his sarcophagus, and buried his face in his hands. He made some strange noise, and I wondered, Was he crying?
I poked my head out from behind the pillar. He was crying. I checked around the doorway, and tiptoed over to him. He didn't hear me. I slipped quietly onto the lid next to him. I hugged him, ignoring when he stiffened in surprise. He looked up, fat tears rolling down his cheeks.
"What's wrong?" I whispered. He tried to stop crying, so I just hugged him again. "Why are you crying?" He shook his head. "Shh, it's okay. What's wrong?"
