Still Connor's POV~
I knocked on Carrie's door and finally saw her face.
"Hey, come in." She smiled at me and all i could get is butterflies in my stomach. I didn't know I could love somebody this much.
"You have a really great house. Remember when we were little we used to play with the swing set in your backyard? It was so fun, I wish we could rewind time." I chuckled and then she looked gloomy and pale.
"Yeah...rewind time. Anyways, want some coke or something?" She changed the topic already.
"Um yeah sure." I lied. I prefer water because i'm not that fond with coke and sodas. (I know, weird right?) but i really didn't want to treat her like that.
She handed my the coke and i just took a sip. After that, she brought me to her room and we sat and talked.
"Hey Carrie...you alright? Please tell me what happened?" I held her chin and hand to comfort her in some way.
"It's just about Josh ok. Maybe it's not a big deal for you, but it is for me. I've been best friends with him since forever and he did this. I know we have fights, but those kind of thing is so seldom. Maybe i am feeling a bit too sensitive, but i dont know. Im just so confuse right now." She sighed and sat on the floor pulling her hair into a messy bun. Gorgeous. Ah, i get so distracted.
"I know it means alot to you, And it does to me. I am pissed at him for hurting you. You just don’t deserve it! Josh is a jerk sometimes , i get that. But maybe he didn’t tell you because he was protecting you in some sort of way." I hoped that i was using the most considerate and wise words to her, i really didn’t want to bring her down even more.
She just stared at me and gave me a hug. I hugged her back.
"Now let's erase those pouty face of yours and get some Ben and Jerry's then watch some movies. It'll be fine, okay?" I smiled and she smiled back. Finally. Her beautiful smile causing redness entering my cheek.
We ate some ice cream and ordered some Chinese food. (It was her favorite thing to eat when she's down, for some reason) We watched HIMYM's new season and we cracked laughs. I was glad to hear those joyful voice of her's. Her laugh was like the most beautiful voice I ever heard. I was glad that i could be with her for the night.
Carrie’s POV
I woke up to the feeling of an arm around my shoulder, my head buried on a warm chest and my hands on top of what I felt like toned abs. Wait, who’s? I looked up to see a boy with his perfectly arranged quiff still in place and his eyes closed. Oh shit, Connor. We must’ve fallen asleep after watching movies. I slowly tried to drift off from his grip but instead his grip tightened.
“Don’t leave. Stay” he mumbled with his eyes still shut.
I didn’t want to leave. This moment just felt perfect even if we’re not going out. I just wanted to sleep all day. I checked the clock next to the couch and saw it was only 7am and school doesn’t start till 9. So I laid my head back on Connor’s arm. I knew we had to get up sooner or later.
“Get up sleepyhead. We have school. “ I whispered into his ear softly.
“You just have to ruin the moment don’t you?” he smirked with his now opened eyes.
For a moment I saw his emerald green eyes locked with mine. Slowly we were leaning in to each other, his lips slowly brushing on my bare cheekbone, our eyes gazing at each other and suddenly his lips was on mine. This kiss wasn’t like the first kiss we had. It wasn’t rough or passionate and instead it was more of a soft and caring kiss.
We slowly pulled away from each other and I saw his grin grew slightly bigger. I was speechless. Instead of confronting with him, I ran upstairs to my room and into the shower immediately.

We were quiet the whole way to the school. It was pretty much awkward as he was driving and I was just No, not this again. I just had a fight with my bestfriend and I can’t manage to lose him too. I started talking to him but before I knew it we were laughing on the way to our Geometry class.
I walked in the classroom and there I saw Josh flirting with girls who had always admired him. This wasn’t him. Where is the best friend I knew? Our eyes met but I just walked past him.
“Ignore him. He’s just jealous I get to spend time with you instead of him.” Conor said softly.
I smiled at Connor and took a seat at the back of the class next to Connor. School was boring as it always was. It felt like forever being in that class but to cheer me up, Connor was constantly passing notes to me every time the teacher looked away.
Then this one note made me smile.
Let’s go to the park today. I’ll pick you up at 7. It’s not exactly a date but you can call it that f you want to (;
Typical him. I looked at him with a cheeky smile on my face and nodded.
