Carrie’s POV
I woke up with warm toes and the scent of pancakes. I walked over to the kitchen table seeing Josh flipping pancakes and adding it onto a stack..
“Goodmorning sleepyhead. You dozed off early last night.”
“Yeah, I know. I’m sorry but I was just so tired last night. Aren’t we suppose to be going to school? ”
“Its fine, it’s a Saturday Carrie. Come sit, the pancakes are ready. Eat them before it gets cold.”
I walked over to the kitchen table and took a seat next to Josh. He was already munching on a pancake and his hands were already on a second pancake. I reached for a pancake and the maple syrup and took a bite.
“Josh, I swear you are the best cook ever, these taste amazing. I think you should stay here more often and cook me breakfast.”
“Haha thanks Carrie. So what’d you want to do today? I’ve got no plans unless you call watching tv all day a plan.” he said smiling at me.
I smiled back at him. Honestly, I don’t know what to do. We’ve been everywhere together. i don’t really care about what we’re gonna do today, i just want to spend every single moment with him.
Josh’s POV
*beep*
“What’s that?” Carrie asked me slowly.
“Oh, its my phone. I think I got a text.”
Josh, be over at my place at 6. I got a surprise for you. -Connor
Damn, what does Connor want. it must be one his matchmaker games. He have set me up about 8 dates and none of them worked out. Why can’t this kid just give up in setting me up and leave me alone, I thought.
“Who is it? “ I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard Carrie’s voice.
“Oh its Connor. He wants me to meet him at his place. I’m gonna leave for dinner tonight, so let’s go get lunch now.”
“Ughh, I’m so lazy to get ready. It’ll take me so much energy. “
“Come on! it’s just lunch and just use something simple. It’s on me.”
We drove to Burger King and I told Carrie to go inside the restaurant first as I park the car. As I walked in the restaurant, I saw Carrie already bringing the food to an empty table. I thought, she remembers what I like and what my favorite milkshake is. She is perfect.
“Hey, thanks for the food. I thought I told you it was on me. “ I said.
“Nah, its no big deal. Come on, we gotta hurry up. I need to go to the mall to get some clothes before you leave for Connor’s.” she replied hastily.
“Okay, let’s go. Where do you want to go? Abercrombie or Hollister?”
“Both! They’re both having winter sale for summer outfits.”
“Why are you so excited? It’s a sale for goodness sake.”

Connor’s POV
Where is that kid? I set him up on a date yet he comes late. Is it possible that he’s going to stand my surprise up? No way, he never does I thought. I paced back and forth while looking at the clock constantly. He was already 10 minutes late. I took my phone and just as I was about to dial his number, a ring on the door. I opened the door and saw him, finally.
“Hey bro! Sorry i’m late, was at the mall with my friend.” he handshaked our special handshake.
“Yo! It’s cool, so ready for your surprise?” i smirked at him trying to give a signal to Michelle, his future-girlfriend. I swear this girl will be perfect for him. He approached her and started talking to her and at that moment I knew my setup was a success.
The two talked together in the living room for only 10 minutes and Josh already had his arm around her shoulder. This kid is definitely the school’s top flirt-I thought.
“I can hear you, you know.” he said while chuckling.
“I said that out loud didn’t I?” I asked with a smirk and he nodded. I decided to leave the two alone to get along with each other and visit Carrie instead. Yes, you can say I have a crush on her but she never wants to go out with me. All she thinks about is Josh and now since I got him out of the way, she’s all mine.
