"Are you sure that you have everything that you need?"

"Yes mom, you've asked me this a hundred times now."

"But what if you forget your underwear? Or your bras? Or your—"

"Okay, enough of that." I awkwardly interrupt, taking the gift basket that my mom was holding in her arms into mine. I send her a small smile. "Seriously, I'll be alright. I'll call and text you everyday." I reach in for a hug, and she gladly accepts it, wrapping her arms around me.

"Aughh...My baby." She says into my shoulder, her voice being slightly muffled before she pulls back. "So grown. Now get on that damn bus."

I laugh softly, "Fine. I love you mom."

"I love you too sweet pea!"

I begin to take my luggage, climbing onto the large vehicle. I wave one last time at my mother before the door closes, shoving my suitcase into the bag rack. And after a few minutes, I find myself a seat in the back. I stumble slightly as the bus starts moving, but thankfully, I sit down before I topple over onto my face.

I could already feel my anxiety rising, along with some excitement and anticipation. I take a deep breath in, looking out the window to my side and seeing the blurred images of the city pass by until it shifted to more rural areas. To clear my mind, I grabbed my earbuds, putting them in my ears and clicking on my playlist. I closed my eyes and let the music flow, and before I knew it, I was out like a light.

I felt a tap on my shoulder, then two, then three until it got more aggressive.

"Lady, this is the last stop." A gruff voice says.

I groggily open my eyes, until my mind clicks with realization. I sit up fully, "Oh, I am so sorry!" I quickly grab my stuff before handing my luggage out, now officially stumbling out of the damn bus. Oh I really hope no one just saw me do that—

"Hello! Are you [Name]?"

I pause in my tracks, my e/c hues wide as I looked up, making eye contact with a red haired woman. Her green eyes twinkle as she takes in my surprised form. "Ah! You still look the same as you did when you were younger, hun. It's been so long."

I stand there, dumbstruck. But after a second of looking at her appearance, a name comes to my mind.

"Robin..?" My voice comes out uncertain, but nonetheless, there's not really anyone else who fits her blurry description from so long ago. Despite my hesitant words, her face lights up in joy, and she walks over, giving me a big hug that I confusedly return.

"I was so sure you had forgotten me! I wonder how Sebastian is going to react once he sees you. Here, let me take your bag." She grabs my luggage from me, carrying it with ease as we now begin to walk. But there was something about that name that she had said.

Sebastian..?

Before I could ponder more on why it seemed so familiar, Robin's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. My head turns to her as she begins to talk, a smile on her lips as she looked at me. "I assume you're staying at your grandfather's old farm?"

I nod, a small smile forming on my features. "I am. I've always loved staying here from what I remember. I want his memory to stay intact. I also just need a new change of pace in my life."

"Im happy to hear that. But, there is something you need to know."

"What is it?"

She gestures ahead of us, and I turn my head to well, I don't even know.

There were bushes, trees, grass, rocks, literally everywhere. You couldn't even see a good foot ahead of you because there had to be something in the way. Just from the sight, I could already feel my muscles aching and my future fatigue. Robin grimaces at me from the side, probably seeing my expression. "Your grandpa hasnt exactly cleaned this area up, not in a long, long time."

"Yeah, I can tell." I mumble, my eyes still wide.

She releases an uneasy chuckle, "Sorry. It's not a pleasant sight. Some of us from town have tried to help, but we all got distracted in our own things and eventually it became too much to maintain. But now that you're here, I can tell somethings going to change!"

Her optimism made a small laugh leave my lips, and I glance back at her. "Thank you, Robin."

She gives me a smile. "Anytime, [Name]."

Before I could open my mouth again, however, a deep and gravelly voice called out. "And look who's here! I hadn't realized you would be arriving so soon." I turn over my shoulder to see another vaguely familiar face, the welcoming glint in the man's eyes apparent.

"Hey Lewis." Robin says, putting a hand on her hip, "I was just showing [Name] where she'd be staying."

Lewis..I remember him being a friend of my grandpa.

"Good job, Robin."

She nods, and then he turns his attention back to me. Even with his mustache, I knew he was grinning as he approached me. He lent out his hand, "It's nice to see you after so long. Welcome back to Pelican Town."

I happily took his hand, shaking it as I smiled back at him. "Thank you, sir."

"No need to call me sir. Just call me Lewis!"

"Okay."

"Now, to get things started for you and—" Lewis gestures to the messy farm ahead, "this, you'll need tools." He magically brings out a toolbox, suddenly making me question why I hadn't seen it before. He plopped it right in my hands, making me have to awkwardly hold it up with my lack of muscles. "Oh, and here's this."

He hands me a bag full of coins, "It's to start you off with crops or anything you desire—But it can be useful to gain more profit off of your crops." Then he points over to a small box next to the farmhouse. "Whatever you want to sell, just put it in that, and I'll come by to pick it up every night."

"Gotcha.." I say slowly.

"It really is great to see you though!" He grins at me again, "I must get going now. But I hope to see you around town sometime."

Damn. I totally forgot about socializing. Nonetheless, I smile back. "I'll plan on it."

He casts me one last glance, waving before turning away and going back down the path before he could no longer be seen. Robin comes up, standing next to me. "I also have to go. But I'm always available if you need house improvements or need buildings made."

She places a hand on my shoulder, her touch comforting and gentle. "Just make sure to let me know beforehand. And if you need any help with anything else, also let me know."

I nodded for the hundredth time that day, my e/c gaze meeting the woman's. "I appreciate the help I've been getting, seriously."

"Anything to make you feel at home, [Name]."
