A few minutes after Robin leaves, I look back at the hellish journey laying ahead of me. I bend down, grabbing the axe from the toolbox and holding it firmly in my hands. A determined look forms over my features.
Time to start chopping shit.

Sweat drips down my brow as I chop down the fourth tree of the day. The sky was starting to settle into a yellow-orange color, and fatigue was making it's way through my body. My muscles ached and I was hungry, but I wouldn't let myself rest until I got an odd number of stupid trees taken down.
I huff in annoyance.
I scythe through some grass before chopping down the last tree, and then I knew right there I was done for the day. I throw the axe on the floor and step over it, heading towards the farmhouse that I stayed in so many times as a kid. When I stepped onto the porch, a good few of the planks were unstable, and I made a mental note to fix that tomorrow.
I opened the door, and the rustic scent of the cabin greeted my senses. I couldn't stop the small smile from forming on my lips.
It was tinier than I remembered, but everything felt bigger when I was a kid. I shake my head, walking in and feeling nostalgic memories come back to me.
I closed the door behind me and got ready for bed, such as changing my clothes, brushing my teeth and making a call to my mom. I decided that I would unpack tomorrow–I don't have any leftover motivation at the moment. I flop onto the bed nearby, burying my face into the blankets. It wasn't long until my eyes started to feel heavy, and eventually, I fell into a deep slumber.

POV SWITCH
"Oh oh oh!! Give me that Lego piece Sammy!"
The young girl excitedly said, her eyes lighting up as she got an idea that she thought was 'super cool.' The blond looked at her curiously, but he reached into the box of Legos, handing it to her. [Name] put it onto the piece she was creating, and the young boy couldn't help but sweat drop.
It wasn't exactly pretty.
"What's it supposed to be?" Sam asks, leaning in closer, tapping the blob of Legos. The h/c huffed. "It's supposed to be a cat."
"Ooh, Well.. To me it doesn't look like one."
The girl frowned.
Sam immediately noticed, his eyes widening with slight panic. "But if you say that's what it is, then I believe you. Would you want me to help make it even better?"
The h/c immediately brightened up at the suggestion, and the smile returned to her lips. "Okay!"
Before they could start though, a woman entered the young boys bedroom. Her red hair was tied up in a ponytail, and a small smile was on her features. Sam gasped, and he got up, running over to his mother and hugging her legs. "Mom!"
Jodi ran her fingers through her sons hair, the happiness on her face evident. "Hey sweetie." Her gaze flicked up to see [Name], who was sitting there with a Lego piece in her hands. "Hi hun. Is your grandpa alright with you staying for dinner?"
The young girl nodded ecstatically, "Yeah!"
She hums. "That's good. Could you two please help me set the table?"
"Okay!"
The two head out of the room, following the woman. They made it to the kitchen, and the pleasant smell of the food intensified. Sam couldn't help himself from trotting to over the stove, where tomato soup was laying delightfully in a pot. [Name] followed, and her e/c hues sparkled in happiness as she peered inside.
