The morning sunlight filtered softly through the gauzy white curtains, casting a delicate, golden hue across your bedroom. The light danced over the hardwood floor, caressing the bedposts and gently nudging you awake. You blinked a few times, slowly emerging from the cocoon of warmth and comfort that your blankets provided. It was a morning like any other-or so it seemed. The air was still, the kind of quiet that usually followed peaceful dreams and preceded a normal, uneventful day. But as you stretched your limbs and slowly opened your eyes, there was a subtle shift in the atmosphere, something you couldn't quite put your finger on.

You noticed your boyfriend, Jimin's side of the bed was empty, though the sheets were still slightly warm. The familiar scent of his cologne lingered in the air, wrapping around you like a gentle embrace. Your heart fluttered at the thought of him, a reaction that had become second nature since the day you first met. The two of you had fallen into a comfortable routine, one built on love, mutual respect and an endless stream of inside jokes. But lately, something about Jimin had changed-an inexplicable shift that had caught your attention more than once.

He had always been attentive, always quick with a smile, a touch, or a word of encouragement. But over the past few weeks, that attentiveness had taken on a new dimension. His smiles seemed more radiant, his touches lingering just a moment longer than usual. You could see it in the way his eyes would light up when he looked at you, a secret dancing behind those deep brown orbs; a secret he wasn't ready to share just yet. You'd caught him watching you more than once, his gaze soft and contemplative, as if he were lost in a world of his own thoughts.

And then there were the small, seemingly insignificant things: the way he hummed to himself while preparing dinner, the slight hitch in his breath whenever you asked him a question, the way his hand would twitch as if resisting the urge to reach for something. It was as if he was constantly holding back, restraining himself from blurting out something monumental. But every time you questioned him, he would just smile that enigmatic smile of his and change the subject.

As you got out of bed, the warmth of the sun on your skin brought a small, contented sigh to your lips. You padded across the room, your feet sinking into the plush carpet as you made your way to the bathroom. You glanced at yourself in the mirror, noticing the way the morning light made your hair look like it was spun from gold. You brushed through the tangles, your mind drifting back to Jimin and his recent odd behavior. You tried to brush off the nagging feeling that something was up, convincing yourself that you were just being paranoid. After all, Jimin was Jimin-sweet, loving and always full of surprises. There was no need to read too much into his actions.

Yet, even as you went through your morning routine, washing your face and brushing your teeth, the feeling persisted. It was a quiet, persistent whisper at the back of your mind, telling you that today was different, that today something was going to happen. You pushed the thought aside, determined not to let your overactive imagination get the best of you.

As you walked out of the bathroom, you caught the mouthwatering scent of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air, along with the unmistakable aroma of something delicious cooking. A smile crept onto your face as you followed the scent, knowing that Jimin was already in the kitchen. He had a habit of waking up before you, claiming that he loved watching you sleep for a few minutes before starting the day. It was one of the many things you adored about him.

The closer you got to the kitchen, the louder the sound of soft humming became. It was a familiar tune, one that Jimin often hummed when he was in a particularly good mood. You recognized it immediately, it was Serendipity-one of his favorite songs, a melody that had always made you feel like everything was right in the world.

As you entered the kitchen, the sight before you made your heart skip a beat. Jimin was standing at the stove, his back to you, his hair slightly tousled and still damp from his morning shower. He was wearing one of his favorite oversized sweaters, the soft fabric clinging to his frame in a way that made you want to wrap your arms around him and never let go. His movements were graceful almost dance-like as he flipped pancakes in the pan with practiced ease.
