I woke up to a loud knock on my room door.
Where am I? What is this room? That was the first thought that crossed my mind.
Oh! Why did I drink so much?
I staggered to the door, adjusting Soobin's T-shirt.
Wait a second, Soobin's T-shirt? My head started to clear up.
- Good morning, - said a young man, shifting from foot to foot. - We're late, we have an appointment with the doctor.
- I'll be ready in five minutes. Please wait, - I said.

I rushed to the shower. In the shower, I tried to remember everything in detail. My mind was clearing up.
Yeonjun's arms and embraces...
Kai's kiss...
Soobin's confession...
Everything was surfacing in my head one by one. My thoughts and feelings were mixed. I decided that I would sort everything out after the doctor's appointment.

The trip to the clinic took about half an hour. They were already waiting for me. A young man in a white coat escorted me to the doctor's office. Later, I found out that he was the assistant. The doctor herself was a middle-aged woman with a pleasant voice.
After a conversation with the doctor and a quick check-up, I was sent for an MRI.

It turned out that I had hit my head quite hard, and I needed to stay in the hospital for a few days for more intensive treatment. This upset me because I had just returned to work the day before, and now I'd be absent again.
They took me to a ward, dressed me in hospital clothes, and hooked me up to an IV. Just like that!

The assistant who had brought me disappeared somewhere, and I was left alone... It seemed that the medicine they gave me was a sedative, and it made me incredibly sleepy. I fell asleep...

I don't know how many hours I slept, but it felt like I'd been out for days. Without opening my eyes, I sensed a gentle fragrance.
Where am I? Is this heaven? Did I die?
When I opened my eyes, I saw flowers.
So many flowers! Lots and lots of flowers! There were beautiful vases and huge baskets filled with them. There were red roses and plenty of white lilies. One large bouquet caught my attention, placed in the most prominent spot, right in front of my bed. The arrangement of wildflowers in various shades was so masterfully done that I couldn't look away. Inside, there was a card.
"Get well soon! We need you! Tomorrow x Together."
It felt so nice to realize that someone cared and needed me. I was over the moon with happiness!

I spent the whole day waiting, thinking that maybe someone would come visit me, but unfortunately, no one did.
Night came. A nurse came in, gave me some pills, and I reluctantly took them. It was beautiful outside the window! The night view of Seoul was mesmerizing. But it felt lonely looking out at it. I thought about him...
Is he thinking about me? Where is he? Who is he with?

With those thoughts, I fell asleep. The next morning, the doctor came in and informed me that I would have to stay for another two days.
After a thorough check-up on the third day, they would discharge me. This upset me. I didn't want to stay in the hospital! I was bored and wanted to get back to work as soon as possible.

Another day passed with no news.
At night, when I was about to go to bed, vague thoughts started to bother me.
What if I got fired? What if he lost interest in me? And a million other scenarios.

In the morning, the same man who had brought me here came in. He entered the ward, took a package out of his bag, and handed it to me.
- This is a new phone, with a new number inside. Someone will call you.
I opened my mouth to ask a question, but he interrupted me.
- I know, you're going to ask why they didn't come. They're too busy. Unfortunately, they can't visit. Did you like the flowers? - he smiled slyly.
- I'm thrilled! Be sure to pass that on, - I said in a hurt tone.
- The roses are from Choi Soobin. The lilies are from Huening Kai. And the bouquet is from the company.

I was in shock. From Soobin? From Kai?
- Can I ask a question?
He nodded.
- Who is the phone from? Choi Soobin, Huening Kai, or the company?
He laughed.
- From the company. Get well soon! I'll drop by tomorrow evening with some fresh clothes. Goodbye!

I turned on the phone. There was only one number in the contacts, labeled "Bighit." I wondered, if I dialed it, who would answer?
I never thought I'd be waiting for a call like this. After a hearty breakfast, I started flipping through the magazines on the table.
An hour later, finally, a message came through. I jumped up and, with trembling hands, picked up the phone.
"Hey. Hope you're feeling better. Can I call? Soobin."
I had been waiting for a message from Kai, not Soobin. But it was better than nothing.
"Hi. Sure," I replied. The call came immediately.

- Hey.
- Hey, Soobin.
- How are you? Sorry we couldn't visit. The schedule's packed with things to do.
- It's okay. I understand. I'm feeling better. They said they'd probably let me go home the day after tomorrow.
- I spoke with the doctor. Turns out you hit your head pretty hard. I'm really sorry.
- Yeah, I didn't think it was this serious.
- We're resting here after dance practice with the members. They want to talk to you too. I'll put you on speaker. Listen.
- How's Soobin's helper doing? - came Beomgyu's voice, followed by his laughter.
Then everyone shouted "Hi," and someone, probably Yeonjun, said:
- We're waiting for you! Come back soon!

Then Soobin's voice came on again:
- I made sure they'll bring you new clothes tomorrow. We don't know your address to pick up your stuff, so they'll buy everything new.
Call this number anytime. Someone from us will answer if any of us are free.
- Got it... Okay... Yeah... Uh-huh... - I mumbled in response.
- Sorry things turned out this way. But don't worry. You'll recover soon and be with us again. I miss you...

What? Miss me? And what am I supposed to say to that?
- I'll make up for it when I'm back at work. I'll work even harder. I promise. - We laughed and then said our goodbyes.

After hanging up, I realized I didn't hear Kai. All I needed was to hear his voice. I was crushed. Maybe because of Soobin, maybe because of Yeonjun, heck, maybe for who knows what reason, he didn't talk to me. I was mad at myself.
What am I doing wrong? I didn't give any reason to either Yeonjun or Soobin. Everything just seemed to build against us. What do I do now? Call and ask to speak to him? No way! I don't want to compromise him! I wanted to understand what was wrong. What should I do? I needed to hear him! I desperately needed this!
Tears welled up in my eyes... I got out of bed and walked to the window.
The sky had darkened. Suddenly, it started snowing... Individual snowflakes began to stick to the window. I could see them clearly. It was so beautiful and sad.

There was a knock on the door. I turned around and saw him. Huening Kai!
- Hey. Are you busy? - he smiled.
- Not anymore, - I said through tears.
- I had to sneak out. I only have half an hour. Then everyone will notice I'm gone.
- I understand.
- I had to see you! - said Kai, grabbing my hands. - You wanted that too, right?
- Very much... - I whispered.
He pulled me close and hugged me. He hugged me so tightly, as if he never wanted to let go. Ever...
