Yuki-Onna also known as the snow woman is a woman who lives in the snowy mountains in japan and has pale skin, long jet black hair and is taller than average japanese woman. She is usually seen wearing a white long dress or a red kimono.
One of the most known stories about Yuki-Onna is that one day two woodcutters named Mosaku and Minokichi who lived in a small village on the mountain-side.One day the two men were coming home late after cutting trees the whole day when a huge snowstorm hit them, they took shelter in an abandoned cabin waiting for the storm to pass, but it got late and they decided to spend the night.Minokichi woke up in the middle of the night and saw a tall, pale woman hovering over Mosaku. She released an ice cold breathe and killed Mosaku in an instant and turned to Minokichi choosing to spare him if he never told another living soul about this encounter.
Few years later
Mosaku met this woman after coming home from cutting trees and they fell inlove. He brought her to live with him and his mother and they soon had 10 children. One night his Wife Oyaki was sewing with only a flickering torch as her light source. Mosaku looked at her and her plae skin, dark long hair looked awfully familiar. He then told her about the night in the cabin and she turned to him with a cold expression.
"Don't you remember your promise?",
He then realized that the woman infront of him was the spirit that took Minokichi's life that night. She proceeids to tell him that she would have killed him if it wasn't for the children they had and vanished.

While he loved to take long hot baths every night, his wife always refused to bathe. This puzzled him greatly. One particularly cold and snowy night, he insisted that his wife take a bath. Otherwise she would freeze to death in the cold, he said. She protested, but there was no reasoning with the man. Finally she acquiesced. When he went in to check on her a few minutes later, all he found in the tub were half-melted icicles.
