"Get the hell off of me!"
Bridgette kicked and flailed her arms wildly. Brent's friends were carrying her to a large pond outside of school.
Their nails dug into her skin as she squrimed in their grip, making her even more agitated. She found no use in struggling, considering they wouldn't let her go. She let out a groan of defeat and let her head hang.
She slowly opened her eyes to see an upside down Brent. Her eyes narrowed at him, and she clenched her jaw.
"Fuck you, Brent." She was seething with anger. He stared down into her eyes and stuffed his hands in his pockets.
"Hope you know how to swim, red." Bridgettes eyes widened when the two boys started to swing her, getting ready to launch her into the water.
"3...2...1..."
All three of the boys counted down as they gave her one last swing. They immediately released her from their arms, sending her flying into the air.
She let out a high-pitched scream until it was silenced by the loud splash of water as she fell in head first.
She quickly started to move her limbs, hoping to get to the surface quickly. Bridgette was not a good swimmer at all. Her heart was racing, and she felt like she couldn't breathe even when her head was out of water.
Her bright orange hair was now drenched, and sticking to her face. She coughed up water from the pond, immediately feeling sick. If she wasn't so focused on swimming up to ground, then she'd throw up everywhere.
The sound of their laughs was all she could hear over her frantic breathing. Her arms felt weak, and she was finding it hard to swim to shore.
As soon as she almost made it to shore, a piece of pond weed wrapped around her leg, preventing her from moving. Another loud cry emitted from her, and panic set in once again.
Brent held his stomach as he cried of laughter. His finger pointed at her flailing body in the water. Daniel and Josh had stopped laughing and just watched her struggle to swim.
"Hey, I think she's drowning." Josh scratched his head, watching bridgette flail around. Daniel scratched his chin and hummed.
"I don't care. Let her." Brent shook them off. His eyes stayed glued on his victim. He had enjoyed bullying her immensely. Putting her in pain made him indescribably happy.
Bridgette had managed to swim back to land. Her body was soaked. Her clothes stuck to her body, revealing her slim figure. As she moved her feet, a loud sloshing sound was heard. She shuddered as she felt water gush from her shoes.
She coughed up water, nearly gagging as the murky water escaped her throat. Her eyes burned from water and makeup getting into them. She squeezed them shut and let out a sob. Her body burned from the freezing wind whipping her, and she cried even harder.
Brent let out a small chuckle, wiping a tear from his eye as he did so. His expression slowly became monotone as he watched her get to her feet. His eyes scanned her up and down.
"Psh, let's get out of here." He turned on his heel and began to walk away. Daniel and Josh followed after him, laughing about what they had done to the poor girl.
Bridgette slowly stood up, wiping her eyes one last time. She shivered as cold air hit her wet body. Her arms folded over her wet chest, and she slowly walked home.
It was safe to say she never went around another body of water after that incident.
