Zhao Changxia had never seen such a passionate, flamboyant scene before.
As Qu Qingjiang wrapped around her, Zhao Changxia stiffened, her heart pounding wildly, more so than when encountering enemies on a mission. Her mouth was dry, and her mind felt as if it were being pulled in two directions—one urging her to follow her instincts and kiss back, the other reminding her to uphold discipline and maintain her boundaries.
Zhao Changxia remained as still as a statue, and noticing her tension, Qu Qingjiang's smile became even more tempting. She extended her arms, wrapped them around Zhao Changxia's neck, and placed a gentle kiss on the corner of her lips.
Zhao Changxia: "!!!"
In that moment, the tension in her mind snapped. Her heartbeat surged and then paused for half a second, her blood suddenly boiling at a high temperature.
The subtle fragrance of osmanthus mixed with the rich aroma of alcohol entered Zhao Changxia's nose, and her previously clear mind seemed to blur as if she were intoxicated.
Seeing Zhao Changxia's flushed and burning face, Qu Qingjiang seemed to revel in her playful trickery, laughing softly, "June, your face is so red, and your body feels quite warm. Did you catch a cold? I told you not to bathe with cold water; wouldn't it be better to bathe with me?"
Zhao Changxia: "......"
Perhaps due to becoming somewhat immune to Qu Qingjiang's provocative words, Zhao Changxia had only been caught off guard by the kiss. Even she, who prided herself on her self-control, felt her heart stir and nearly responded with a kiss of her own.
Zhao Changxia composed herself, thinking that making more noise would make it easier for the Li and Tian families to hear. She suddenly scooped up Qu Qingjiang in a princess carry, which startled her, making her exclaim, "Ah!"
Qu Qingjiang's exclamation was brief, but as she slowly realized Zhao Changxia's intent, she wrapped her arms around Zhao Changxia's neck and playfully scolded, "June, you startled me by lifting me up so suddenly."
Zhao Changxia's face had cooled down, and though her emotions were complex, she cooperated, "Does my little wife not like me carrying you like this?"
"I do, but it's not enough."
"Then I'll be gentler." Zhao Changxia gently set her down on the bed, and Qu Qingjiang couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh. She whispered in Zhao Changxia's ear, "June, this is so much fun!" Then she spoke louder, "Shall we do this every night?"
Zhao Changxia: "...... Drinking every night is bad for your health; we need to be more restrained."
"Are you reluctant to drink or just concerned about my health?"
Zhao Changxia hesitated before replying, "Naturally, I'm concerned about you; your health is the most important."
Moreover, there was only one jar of "special spring wine," and once it was finished, it would be gone.
Qu Qingjiang urged Zhao Changxia to lie down and climbed on top of her, saying, "You always put in so much effort carrying me; you must be tired. Tonight, let me take care of you!"
She began massaging Zhao Changxia's arms and, as she squeezed her upper arm, she playfully exclaimed, "Ah, June, this part of you is so hard!"
Zhao Changxia: "......"
If the bones weren't hard, then what was?
After a while, Qu Qingjiang said, "June, you should move a bit too; I'm so tired."
