Okay so the song barely matches this chapter, but I just really love this song and couldn't find any other song for this chapter. —Showie
"Well that was a lovely trip," June said. "Thank you, Perseus Jackson, for bringing me to Camp Jupiter."
"Perseus....Jackson?" One of the girls choked as if she recognized my name. I turned and raised my eyebrows at her, hoping that we know each other.
My jaw dropped at the sight of her. She was extremely pretty- gorgeous, even. I could tell she was the leader. She wore a regal purple cloak over her armor, her chest decorated with medals. She looked to be about sixteen-my age- with dark, piercing eyes and long black hair. I didn't recognize her, but the girl was staring at me wide-eyed as if I had come straight from her nightmares.
June laughed with delight. "Oh, yes, You'll have such fun together!"
Then, as if the day couldn't have gotten any crazier, the hobo lady starts to glow and change form. Suddenly I'm looking at a seven foot goddess, with a stern/ regal expression. Everyone kneels, and I follow suit.
"Juno," Hazel speaks.
Juno gestures for me to stand, "I present to you, the Son of Neptune. He has been slumbering for months, but has awoken to save Rome. Your fate is in his hands. Feast of Fortuna approaches, Death must be released if you hope to survive. Do not fail me."
She turns to me. "If you do well, Son of Neptune, I will reward you with your memories."
This is the lady that wiped my memories. Bubbling hot anger wells up inside of me. She has no right. I probably have a family, friends, a life waiting for me back at home, and she took it away so I could save her godly ass. I'm not sure I want to help her, but I need those memories. Ever since I've woken up without them, I've felt... off. Like something's missing.
I decide that it's best to be on the goddess's good side.
"I will not fail you, Juno" I bow.
She smiles at me before shimmering into the air, and disappearing.
I see Frank stuff two vials into his pocket. He catches me staring and gives me a look. I'm not dense, I know those are the vials of gorgons blood. I just have to trust him enough and hope that he will use them wisely.
The girl with the cloak steps forward. "So, you bring us the blessing of Juno," she says coldly. "All hero's are to be interrogated upon arrival. Know I will not be issuing special treatment because you run in here all heroic with a goddess on your back."
"You think I'm heroic," I tease.
Her eyes narrow at me. "I will not tolerate arrogance, Perseus" she spits.
"Hazel," Reyna says. "Bring him inside, I want to interrogate him at the principia . Then we'll send him to Octavian. We have to consult the auguries and decide what to do with him."
"Hey, hey," I say. "I am not some pet, what do you mean decide what to do with me? In case you haven't noticed, I just saved your asses from those ugly gorgon ladies. You seem like a leader, and I get it somehow, but I'm confused, and no one is giving me answers. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of being pushed around for some plot the gods are planning. Apparently I was sleeping for months. I've lost months of my life. I do not intend to waste another second. So I do not ask for your respect, I ask for your help, your honesty, and most importantly, I ask for answers."
Reyna looks taken aback, like she's never been challenged like that. "You are not who I thought you'd be." she mumbles.
"My memory is a little fuzzy," I say. "I mean, it's gone, but do you know me?" I ask.
Her eyes widen. "I- uh I do not." She hesitates.
She clears her throat. "Very well, I will give you answers, In return, I ask for your loyalty. We are bringing you to interrogation to decide whether or not Juno sent us the hero she says you are, or an enemy to kill."
"You will know more if we decide you are trustworthy," She says.
"You mean when." I add.
But she only looks at me, an amused expression on her face. "Good luck, Perseus."

The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.—Ernest Hemingway
Gosh, it's certainly been a few days. I told myself that I wasn't going to be one of those writers who starts a story, but never finishes it. I hate when that happens, especially when the story is super good. So I'll try my best to come through and commit to this story. As always, thank you for reading!— Showie
