"Is her door locked?" You ask Aikos roommate as you remove your shoes.
"No, I don't think so. She won't come out or talk to anyone. We're not really too close so I didn't really want to just barge in.." She mumbles, visibly stressed.
"I got it from here. You should go to bed." You tap her shoulder with a smile before walking over to Aikos room. You knock and wait a few moments— there isn't an answer, so you yell, "I'm coming in!"
You push open the door and frown upon seeing the darkness in the room.
You can faintly make out the outlines of her figure beneath her blanket. She's laying still silently— if you weren't looking for her, it's likely you wouldn't even have noticed she was here.
"Aiko." You call out and approach her slowly, sitting on the edge of her bed.
She doesn't say anything in response, you expected nothing more— how could she?; she could potentially be kicked out.
"Aiko, talk to me." You place a hand on her shoulder.
Her breathing becomes heavier and more rigged before she shoots up and glares daggers at you, "You're really gonna come here after everything?"
You frown, taken aback in genuine confusion you try not to be offended by her expression full of hatred and rage.
"What?"
She scoffs and runs a hand through her tangled, messy hair, "You can act shallow and naive with the others but not with me. I know you posted it."
"Literally what the fuck are you talking about?" You shake your head, "I understand you're shocked by this but if you took one second to think rationally, you'd realize there's no way I could've. I didn't even know that existed in the first place, where the hell would I even get the video?!"
You yourself are a bit taken aback from your defensive response. Clearly because of everything that's happened in the past, you no longer take shit from others.
Before she can answer, the door slams open and in comes Wyatt and Kari.
"Aiko, are you okay?" Wyatt rushes inside and sits beside you.
"Get her out of this fucking room." She glares at you, gripping her bedsheets so harshly her knuckles turned white.
Was she gonna turn your best friends against you?
You close your eyes and expect the worst. You assume the worst, you always have in order to protect yourself. With no expectations comes no harm.
"Uh what?" Kari blinks, just as confused as Wyatt and you.
"She leaked that shit."
You stand up and press your lips into a thin line in defeat, "Obviously whatever I say won't get through to her, I'm leaving. You guys believe whatever the hell you want." You turn your head around to look at her, "And don't you dare involve me with your shit. Own up to your own actions, don't pin it on me. I had nothing to do with this."
You quickly walk away and leave her dormitory. You lean against the wall beside the door and take a deep breath.
That did not just happen.
The door opens and out comes Kari. He looks around before finally noticing you. He frowns, "What the hell is she on about?? Like.. why the fuck would you even do that in the first place?.."
You roll your eyes, "I don't fucking know! Someone must've told her I did. But I didn't. I didn't even know she was freaky like that.."
He sighs and offers a smile, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder, "Don't worry about it. You're right, she won't listen to you right now. You should head back and get some rest. We'll talk tomorrow with Wyatt."
