You wake up to vibrations through your chest, loud purring stirring you awake as you feel a heavy weight on you.

A heavy fluffy cat.

You smile when you see her eyes are closed and her paws are tucked into her body, loafing. Beams of sun rays sneak through the gaps of the curtains of Rindous room. You scratch her face where her whiskers are and bite back a squeal when she lets out a small meow, slowly opening her eyes. Bright golden eyes stare into yours and she blinks slowly before hopping off of your chest; as if she understands that you need to get up.

She walks over to Rindous bathroom and you follow her, opening the door since she keeps meowing at it. As soon as you turn the lights on, you're impressed by how tidy and beautiful it is. Marble counters and a marble shower. The mirror is grand and you look into your reflection, cringing when you see how dirty you look. You quickly wash your face and find an unopened toothbrush, giggling to yourself as you open it and use it—meant to be beside his.

You've never been so grateful for taking a shower last night. He led you to his guest bathroom, more so you could feel more comfortable and so you wouldn't assume Rindou was trying to let you know you weren't a guest. He wanted you to feel like a guest, so you wouldn't feel pressured or uncomfortable. However you were too drunk to think that far..

You leave Rindous room after you decide on putting your hair up into a ponytail. As you walk into the kitchen, you hear the faint noise of tv. It's weird. Back then, he was usually just on his bed beside you scrolling on his instagram.

"Good morning." He smiles at you and pauses the show he's watching.

"You're awake early." You join him on the couch.

You appreciate the view his home offers and the smell of peppermint candles. You also appreciate being around him, feeling safe, feeling excited and happy. You appreciate feeling; something you never get to experience lately.

"It's not that early." He laughs and looks at the clock, "it's 1pm."

"That's early..." You gawk.

"Y/n it really is not early. By now, on a weekday, I'd have done all my chores and like 10 reports."

You roll your eyes, mocking him as he speaks but he ignores you casually,

"By this time on a weekday, on Wednesday I'd be done my classes and with my friends."

"Oh right," He hums, "You go to school. What do you major in?"

You freeze. Your gaze shifts away, finding sudden interest in the candle on the coffee table. Awkwardly—you mutter not so proudly, "Criminal justice."

You quickly watch for his reaction. He's taken aback at first, eyes a bit wide as he blinks, "Oh."

"Yeah." You bite your lip, hoping something could suck you out of this moment.

However, surprisingly Rindou just lets out an airy laugh, "That's funny. It suits you."

You look up at him through your eyelashes slowly, blinking a few times, "Really?.."

"Yeah. What, you thought I'd get mad?" He leans his arm on the top of the couch and grins, "What do you want to be?"

"A private investigator."

He glances at you through the side of his eye, "What's with the sudden interest in criminology?"

You make yourself smaller, somehow feeling ashamed as if you didn't do this just to spite him...dreaming of the day where'd he'd fine out and feel as betrayed as he once made you feel.
