[TW: Mentions of SA]
Most people think things won't be interesting at social events, especially where most socialites, people with money, power, and connections are invited.
But in reality, these social events are a hub for drama. And Y/n admits, she loves drama, but only if it's true and not about her.
And in this case, both are in play and not in a good way. The drama isn't true, and it was about her.
She really thought she could go through this event without getting attention for herself, but oh well, destiny raw fucked her and now she's cooked.
How the hell did she even end up in the middle of the dance floor with a bloodied fist, and having broken someone's nose?

An hour earlier. Y/n was with the catering crew, keeping things in order. Souta on the other hand was always beside her, almost acting like a guard dog.
"Y/n... you're invited here to enjoy the party, I'm the one tasked to handle these," Souta murmured by her ear.
She wore a look of discomfort as she turned to face Souta. "I don't want to be left alone in there-!" She looked like a child in distress. "I might die if they keep flattering me,"
"Well, you are worthy of flattery," Souta smiled causing Y/n to flush further.
"You're not helping-!" She whisper-shouted.
Souta chuckled in an airy tone. "Though, I must say... flattery isn't really the term if we're all just pointing out the truth," He added.
"Okay, now you're doing it on purpose," She gave him a stern yet playful look making him chuckle more.
"Well, aren't you two having fun," An oh-so-familiar voice spoke; a voice that would ruin their night completely.
Souta instinctively stepped to shield Y/n from his cousin; Aoki Sho.
A stupid smile adorned Sho's lips. "No hello kiss for me, love?"
Y/h shuddered at the mere thought, Souta then further pulled Y/n behind him. "Shouldn't you be in the music room? You know... playing music for the event,"
"Oh, don't worry, everything is pre-recorded," Aoki says, completely missing the point as he continues to get to Y/n. "You haven't replied to the messages I've sent, or the emails, or the letters even,"
"She's a busy woman, Aoki," Souta answered for her, knowing she wanted to be as far away as possible from him.
Aoki smiled but it was obvious he was annoyed at his cousin. "Souta, I'm talking to her," He says almost threateningly.
"Oh, were you?" Souta matched his energy. "We're having such a good conversation here, right?" He loomed over his cousin.
Aoki knew he was no match for his cousin. "Tch. Whatever, you were never fun- even back when we were kids," He leaned close. "That's why Y/n fell for me, not you-"
"Will you stop talking? That was not a competition so stop bringing it up," Souta sneered at his cousin.
Meanwhile, Y/n was by the sideline, not hearing a thing they were talking about. She stared into the distance thinking about the buffet.
