Arlecchino's body was oh-so slowly eroding and transforming... each day was a chronic pain and struggle for her. Nobody knows about it though, and they shouldn't. The "Father" should be a good example for the children. The house of the hearth was her home, where many unpleasant memories were made. But, even in the darkest of times, there is always something... perhaps a slim of light, a HOPE some may call it, where the only way other than the bottom... is up. Towards the sky! Where bright beginnings can happen. Miracles.

As the sun started to rise from the crack of dawn, Arlecchino was in a bit better shape. Tsaritsa was still yapping her "challenge" between the children away, and this was probably the first time that Arlecchino was listening to what she was saying. "May Celestia bless you all. You are dismissed." She said as her voice echoed across the hollow room, which didn't contain much furniture. For instance, there was the never ending water fountain, that could not stop leaking no matter what method they tried... younger Arlecchino avoided that hallway as much as possible. And then there would be the crooked bookshelves, that she felt could collapse at any instant... the thought was terrifying enough to send a shiver down her cold spine.

Nobody understood why the cheerful girl made friends with the weirdo (Arlecchino). They would always pick on her or something else that was along the lines of that, but the girl always took her side. She was a pretty, brown haired girl, with slight shades of blond creeping in her hair. It was almost... elegant. But nobody knew her secret. Her one secret that if anybody knew, she would be the one picked on. The one secret, that made her imperfect. She was... Tsaritsa's biological daughter.

(Hey guys! Just an authors note here, you can skip this. This book will NOT BE UPDATED REGULARLY! I technically can but there's also school and moving, and then there's the fact that I'm stupidly lazy. Sooo, you may not see as many updates as before, but there will be at least once in three days. Now, here's the sad backstory everyone wants to hear. BYE!)

Arlecchino found out one night, when the curse was a little to much to handle for her small, fragile body. She was always on the skinny side, only eating or drinking when absolutely necessary. She couldn't bare the thought of being a burden, or being abandoned like before in her tribe... her family. She was going to ask for a cup of water in the run-down kitchen when she heard muffled sounds that resembled words... she leaned in closer to hear the conversation, but could only make out bits and pieces. "Daughter you must fulfill the prophecy... you imbecile... weird curse laid upon you... secret nobody should know..." That was the only evidence she needed to know. She abandoned her goal and went straight to her bed. And (finally) spent the rest of the night, tossing and turning, thinking what to do with this newfound information.
