✯ACT THREE-PART EIGHT✯
"I still can't believe that you two dated." Danny said out-loud as he slung an arm around Ethan's shoulders, leaning into him with his back pressed against a tree.
"Yeah, guess it's a small world." Ethan murmured as he shared a look with Ashton, quickly looking away and pressing a kiss against Danny's cheek.
"Small doesn't even begin to cover it. It took me a good week to process it." Wesley added in from where he was sitting up and using his palms for support, still panting from the run they had went on.
It was quite normal between them now. Ethan, Danny, Wesley, and Ashton going on runs in the morning or evening. Usually mornings. Aiden only joined when it was just Ethan and Ashton- but Ashton blamed that on Aiden having yet to apologize to Wesley for basically tricking him into being pissed at Ashton.
"You told me to be friends with him not even fifteen minutes after I told you." Ashton defended with a raised eyebrow, picking at a flower as his head rested in Wesley's lap.
"So," Danny interrupted, and the way he readjusted himself was a clear sign that they were about to be asked a series of questions. "How long did you two date, exactly?"
"Two years." Ashton answered simply with a small shrug. Glancing at Danny from the corner of his eye with a small reassuring smile.
"And five months." Ethan added on, giving Ashton a smile as he laced his fingers with Danny's, thumb tracing over the back of his hand.
"That's- a long fucking time." Danny cleared his throat, sharing a worried look with Wesley. They were both thinking the same thing. When you were with someone for that long, at such a young age- feelings were bound to linger.
"Does that mean you two were..you know." Wesley questioned himself, glancing down at where Ashton was laid in his lap with a brow raised in curiosity. While trying to keep the worry out of his voice, surprising himself when he was actually able too.
"Each other's firsts? Yeah." Ashton hummed with a small nod, tossing the flower away from him and instead letting his fingers loosely curl around Wesley's bicep, giving it a gentle squeeze. "We were young, it was bound to happen."
"Yes, yes, and Wes is going to be your last. We know. Get a room already." Ethan groaned with a feigned gag of disgust, laughing when Ashton shot him a glare while Danny rolled his eyes with a chuckle. So it seemed Danny was no longer worried- or maybe he was and was just hiding it well.
Whatever it may be, the four quickly changed the topic and continued on with their discussion, until finishing their run and going their separate ways.

"Okay, what's wrong? You haven't said a word since we got in the car." Ashton sighed as he glanced over at Wesley from the corner of his eye before looking back at the road, one hand resting on the gear shift while the other gripped the steering wheel.
"Nothing, just..he's really close to you, you know?" Wesley murmured with a small shrug, crossing his arms over his chest with a frown. But it was clear as day that that wasn't the only thing he wanted to say. "I think he still-"
"Absolutely not." Ashton interrupted a little too quickly then he meant too, taking a moment to focus on what he was going to say. "I see the way he looks at Danny. It's the same way he used to look at me, I know that look. He loves Danny, not me." Ashton tried to assure, flicking the turn signal before turning onto the highway.
"But he does. He gives you that same damn look every time you're in the same room as him. I've seen it." Wesley persisted, and Ashton would laugh at how cute it was to see him so possessive, if it wasn't for the fact that Ashton knew how bad this could affect them if he didn't try and calm it down.
