The ride back to the dorms was painfully quiet. Snow was now beginning to fall, casting heavy clouds over the stars above you both. You had no choice but to sit there silently and dwell on everything that has happened so far.

The piercing cold followed you both into the dorm building, grazing against the back of your neck in a way that seemed almost daunting. You could almost feel a shift in the air as you made your way closer to your room. Levi hadn't said a word since you left the bar. And that was definitely not a good sign.

Regardless, he was quick to follow you inside once you opened the door. You watched anxiously as he stripped off his jacket, tossing it over the counter in a casual manner.

"Do you think Hange made it back okay?" you started. Levi glanced over, his eyes heavy-lidded but alert. "She probably got dragged out. You know how Hange is."

"Yea, probably," you swallowed, eyes drifting off to the side.

You could feel the tension between you, a mix of the unspoken and the unresolved. The silence was heavy, filled with the weight of everything that had happened.

Levi's gaze was distant, his posture rigid as he leaned against the counter. "So... what now?" His voice was almost too calm, like he was bracing himself for something.

You bit your lip, searching for the right words. "I... I guess we need to talk about what happened tonight."

Levi's eyes locked onto yours, his expression unreadable. "It's more than just tonight, isn't it? There's a lot more we need to figure out. About . . . us."

Before you could respond, a knock on the door interrupted the tense silence. You turned, almost mechanically. Levi followed your gaze, his face darkening with concern. He didn't say a word after that, only standing silently as he waited for you to make your next move.

Your throat grew dry as you stared at the door. Only the dim lighting of a lamp provided any sense of support as you made your way towards the door. For a moment, you could see your hand physically tremble before twisting the knob downward in silence.

When you opened the door to find Armin standing there, you nearly laughed at the irony. He was holding what looked to be your purse at hand. His casual stance and calm expression did little to ease you.

"You left this at the bar," he said casually, a small smile playing on his lips. "Hange insisted I bring it by personally." His tone was innocent, as if the tension between you all wasn't thick enough to cut through already.

Your stomach churned. Of course, Hange didn't send him. Even drunk, you doubt she'd suggest something like that. That was just his excuse, a perfect opportunity for him to intrude.

Levi was watching from behind, no doubt. His gaze piercing through the space between you and Armin, burning at the back of your neck in a discrete way. The silence was suffocating.

"Thanks," you muttered, grabbing the purse, but Armin didn't budge. Instead, he leaned casually against the doorframe, his eyes flicking between you and Levi. But Armin, ever the opportunist, leaned casually against the doorframe, not making any move to leave.

"Strange night, huh? First Hange dragging you all out, and now this . . . Looks like you're not quite done, though."

His words were casual, but you could hear the underlying meaning. He wasn't just talking about the night. He was talking about you. About Levi. About everything that had been left unsaid between all of you.
