You didn't want to believe that what happened yesterday morning was real. That it wasn't simply a dream to help you cope with the fact that you were lonely. But being pulled out of your rest and having to wake up to throbbing knees was sure enough to tell you otherwise.

There wasn't anything lying around the dorm that you could change out your gauze with either. You'd have to be sure to stop by Levi's room before the day was over. Surely he wouldn't mind. Not after his...reminder.

But for now, you just want to enjoy your Saturday. Everyone on campus has been saying that it would snow tonight; that the roads would close and the heating units would finally kick in. All you could really do in the meantime was take advantage of the last warm day of the year.

Brushing your hair out of the way, you slumped back into your chair with a sigh. You only stared at your coffee in silence as you listened in to the hushed conversations around you.

The cafe was packed, and you didn't like that.

You flipped the worksheet in hand around, scanning over the jumble of handwriting that covered it. Porco kept getting the same questions wrong no matter how many times you explained it. While you copied his steps, scribbling over the napkin at hand, you could only furrow your brows.

"Where did he get seven from?" you muttered.

You turned the paper back around, looking over his other answers once more. Several doodles littered the margins, quickly pulling your attention away. The angry-looking stick figure at the bottom looked a lot like you, and you couldn't help but laugh.

"Pssst!"

You lowered the paper at hand, side-eying the source of noise coming from the left.

A broad figure was hunched behind a book, as if attempting to hide their face from the rest of the cafe. Lowering said book, you watched as they pulled their sunglasses down, revealing a familiar set of hazel eyes.

"Connie?" you whispered back, confused.

"Don't face me!" he whispered harshly. "I'm undercover right now, but I wanted to say hi."

You turned back towards your papers, fiddling with your pen as you looked away.

"Undercover for what?"

"Sasha is on a date right now, and I had a weird feeling about it," he adjusted his shades. "What about you? Is that homework?"

Your eyes scanned the building, and sure enough, a brunette ponytail was sat on the other side of the room. A blond man was at the other end of the table, facing your way. You could faintly hear the sound of laughter over the music that the cafe was playing.

"No, not homework," you looked away, bringing your drink up towards your lips.

Connie let out a sharp gasp, and he shoved his book higher in front of his face. You watched as the two suddenly got up from their seats, and shifted towards the exit.
