The soft glow of stars accompanied you as you ventured back to campus; the hours continued to grow larger and the sky continued to grow darker by the time you had decided to call it a day.
The walk back to the dorm was filled with soft laughter, and despite the cold breeze, the two of you were warm and content. Levi had taken your hand as soon as you had stepped out of the car, practically tangling your arm with his in response to the weather.
By the time you had made it back to your floor, you were both visibly shivering. Your hands continued to shake as you messed with your keys, Levi's presence still warm beside you.
The door let out a long creak as you moved to push it open, your eyes slowly moving to his. He hadn't bid his goodbyes just yet, only watching as you brushed the snowflakes off of your sweater.
You glanced him over from where he stood, watching as he rubbed his arms in an attempt to warm up. You could feel your face growing warm as an idea began to take root.
You turned to Levi with a somewhat shy expression, your hands finding themselves folded over each other. "Do you want to come inside for a bit?"
Your tone may have been innocent enough, but you both knew better than that.
Levi's eyes scanned yours, reading your body language, analyzing your intent. You could physically feel a shift in him as he straightened himself out. With a small nod, he answered.
"Yeah."
The word was simple enough, but it carried it's own weight. He followed you inside, letting the door shut behind him with a quiet click. It was as if the entire world had been sealed out, leaving only you and him.
You were quick to slip off your shoes, stepping further into the dimly lit room so you could indulge in the warm air spilling out from the air vents. You continued to shuffle around the shopping bags, pulling out the small cat figurine carefully. With a small smile, you began to shove everything else on your nightstand aside, making sure everything was evenly spaced out and angled just right.
The shadow behind you grew larger, and before you could step away, a pair of arms slid over your waist. You could feel his chest press tighter against your back, his grip over you warm and secure.
His chin rested over your shoulder, his breath soft against your neck. Neither of you said a word, the silence neither tense nor uncomfortable. His weight only sank further against you, his fingers toying with the fabric of your sweater absentmindedly.
"I missed you."
You could feel your heart pounding against your chest, and for a second, you wondered if Levi could feel it. Slowly, you turned in his arms, your chest brushing against his. His eyes met yours, darker with intent, yet full of pure admiration.
"I missed you too," you said softly. Your right hand reached up towards his neck, fingers grazing his outgrown strands.
"Can I kiss you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. His gaze was nowhere near hesitant, his chest rising up in anticipation.
A smile formed without realizing. Instead of using your words, you decided to close the little space that was left between you.
His lips were warm. The kiss was slow, tender, charged with every emotion you could possibly think of. His arms continued to rub over your sides, blending the warmth radiating off of you with his own. Weeks of frustration, of longing, of feelings that were finally reciprocated began to pour out from you both. In the silence of your dorm, away from everything and everyone, you had nothing but each other.
