On the empty street, an unexpected voice cut through the night.
"A girl has fainted here. I think she saw the whole thing", a man announced, his tone urgent.
Footsteps echoed as they rushed to the scene. Y/N's father, upon seeing her, was struck by a wave of shock and dismay. It was Y/N, lying unconscious on the cold ground.
Mr. Jeon stepped forward, his face darkening as he demanded, "Who is she?"
Another man replied, "She's Mr. Kim's daughter."
Mr. Jeon's eyes widened in surprise and then narrowed with a sharp edge of anger. "I see. She doesn't look like a child. She's a pretty woman, and she'll be perfect for Jungkook. Since she is your daughter, the marriage is settled. Is that clear, Kim?"
Y/N's father, overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events, could only mutter a stunned, "Yes, Mr. Jeon."
Mr. Jeon didn't miss a beat. "Tomorrow, bring your family to my house for dinner. Understood?"
Y/N's father, his heart sinking, nodded in resignation. "Yes, Mr. Jeon."
The next morning, Y/N awoke groggily, her surroundings unfamiliar. Her family, including Jimin, was gathered around her, their faces etched with concern. Memories of the previous night rushed back, and a jolt of panic surged through her. She sat up abruptly, her voice shaky.
"I had a terrible dream. I followed Dad to a street where he met a man. Then another man appeared, and they started shooting. I saw the blood, and then I fainted. I don't remember anything after that."
Namjoon interjected, his voice steady. "And then you fainted."
Y/N, eyes wide, asked, "But how do you know my dream?"
Jimin responded, his tone somber, "Because it wasn't a dream. It was real."
Y/N's mother added, "And that so-called monster you saw is going to be your husband."
Y/N's world spun. "What the...?" she stammered, disbelief etched in every word.
Y/N's Father cut in with a heavy sigh, "Y/N, this is all because you followed me last night. If you hadn't, this wouldn't have happened. But now it's settled. You're marrying him."
He left abruptly, leaving Y/N trembling with fear. Her mother stepped in to explain, her voice calm but filled with gravity. "His name is Jungkook. He's the leader of the mafia gang BLACK ROSE."
Y/N's eyes widened. "The gang that attacked last month? I saw it on the news."
Y/N's Mother nodded. "Yes, that's the same gang. Your father has kept our family hidden from them to protect you. Jungkook's mother wanted him to marry you—it was her wish. If you refuse, we will face severe consequences."
Y/N's voice was filled with anguish. "But how am I supposed to marry someone who I don't even know and he turns out to be a heartless mafia the country fears?"
Y/N's Mother tried to soothe her. "He has a heart. Jungkook became this way because of his father."
Y/N's tears flowed freely as she sobbed, "I cannot marry him"
Her mother's comforting presence did little to ease the turmoil within her. Her mother told her about the critical situation of their family. Finally, Y/N took a deep breath. "Alright. I agree to the marriage. But if anything happens to me, I will come back here."
Namjoon reassured her. "I won't let anything happen to my sister."
Time skips
At Mr. Jeon's Mansion, the grandeur of the estate left Y/N in awe. The mansion was vast and intimidating, surrounded by stern-faced guards. As they entered, maids bowed in deference.
"Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Kim. Mr. Jeon is expecting you," a maid announced.
They were led to an opulent dining room, a long table laden with dishes. Y/N's family took their seats as directed. She moved to join them but was halted by a commanding voice.
"Sit there, Y/N."
Y/N turned to see Mr. Jeon approaching, his presence commanding respect. Her family stood and bowed as he entered, and Y/N followed suit. Mr. Jeon sat at the head of the table, his gaze steady.
"Sit down," he instructed.
As they began to eat in silence, Mr. Jeon broke the stillness. "Y/N, you know you're going to marry Jungkook."
Y/N nodded, her throat dry.
"Mr. Kim, I've set the wedding for next Friday," Mr. Jeon announced.
Namjoon protested. "But there are only six days left, sir."
Mr. Jeon's expression remained unyielding. "I know, but I'm leaving for America next Sunday and won't return for two months. We need to wrap this up quickly. Namjoon, Taehyung, handle the arrangements."
Namjoon responded, "Yes, sir."
Just then, the door swung open, and Jungkook stormed in, his face a mask of anger. Taehyung followed closely behind.
"Dad, what's the meaning of this sudden meeting?" Jungkook demanded.
Mr. Jeon gestured for him to sit near Y/N. "Come and sit here, Jungkook. We need to talk."
Jungkook complied, sitting stiffly beside Y/N. His voice was laced with defiance. "Why should I get married?"
Mr. Jeon answered firmly. "You need to."
Jungkook's response was blunt. "To this girl? I refuse to marry her."
Y/N's face flushed with anger, but she managed to keep her composure.
Mr. Jeon continued, "You should marry her. She's good for you."
Jungkook's refusal was absolute. "No, I will not marry her."
Y/N could no longer contain her frustration. She stood up, shouting. "Hey, Mr. Mafia, don't you have any sense? I should be the one fighting for this, but you're the one causing all the trouble. You should be grateful I agreed to marry a jerk like you!"
Jungkook's anger flared. "How dare you speak to me like that?"
He reached for his gun, but Taehyung intervened, pulling it away.
Y/N stood her ground. "Go ahead, shoot. I'd rather die than be married to someone like you!"
Jungkook sneered. "Why should I waste a bullet on a girl like you?"
Y/N shot back, "Stop calling me a girl. You're the one with no heart!"
The room erupted into chaos as everyone tried vainly to calm them down. Namjoon dragged Y/N outside, but their voices echoed in the night.
Jungkook's last words were bitter. "Arrogant girl."
Y/N retorted, "Arrogant? You call me arrogant? You're the heartless one. I agreed to this marriage because of my family situation. It was a mistake."
She stormed out, leaving Jungkook stunned. He turned to his father, who nodded in acknowledgment. Jungkook went upstairs, his thoughts a storm of conflict.
Y/N's father, face flushed with embarrassment, addressed Mr. Jeon. "I apologize for the commotion. I tried to get her to be quiet, but she didn't listen. We're sorry."
Mr. Jeon waved it off. "It's fine. She's shown she's perfect for him."
With that, Mr. Jeon went upstairs to speak with Jungkook, who was seated on his bed, lost in thought. Mr. Jeon approached him, his voice softened with a rare note of pleading. "You know why I am asking you to do this. Do this for your mom."
Jungkook hesitated, then slowly nodded in agreement.
And so, the marriage was set.
